Randhir Kapoor Tested Negative For COVID-19, Got Discharged But Cannot Meet His Family, Here's Why

Popular veteran actor, Randhir Kapoor has tested negative for COVID-19 and is now back to his home after days of treatment in Mumbai's famous Kokilaben Ambani Hospital. The actor has answered all the much-asked questions like the kind of emotions he felt during his time in the hospital, if he faced any severe breathing issues, how was the hospital staff, and why he's still not allowed to meet his family, and many other queries in his latest interview.

For the unversed, it was on November 6, 1971, Randhir Kapoor and Babita had gotten married in a Punjabi wedding at the Kapoor residence. It was in 1974 when the madly-in-love couple had welcomed their first child, Karisma Kapoor. After which, in 1981, when their second child, Kareena Kapoor was born, the financial woes had started affecting their marital life. And finally, in 1987, Babita had decided to separate from Randhir. However, in the early-2000s, they had started with little contact and eventually, in 2007, after 19 years of separation, the estranged life partners had started off fresh again.

In an interview with ETimes, veteran actor, Randhir Kapoor revealed that he has tested negative for COVID-19, after which he was discharged from the Kokilaben Ambani Hospital and is now back to his home. The actor talked about his time in the hospital and revealed that it wasn't tough for him by God's grace, as he had not faced any breathing issues. He said, "I am back home. I am feeling absolutely fine. I thank the hospital's staff. They were simply fantastic. They looked after me very well. I didn't need oxygen support. I did not feel breathless at any point. God has been kind." However, the actor added that he's told to avoid meeting his family members for some time. He said, "I have been advised to keep away. It's just a matter of some more time before I will meet people."

No doubt, it's a huge news for the whole Kapoor clan, as everyone was worried about Randhir Kapoor's health, who had also spent some days in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit). It was on April 29, 2021, when in a conversation with ETimes, Randhir Kapoor had revealed that he had tested positive for COVID-19, despite getting both doses of the vaccination. He had said, "I have no clue how I got Covid. I am surprised. Let me also tell you that my entire staff of five members, too, has tested positive, and I have got them hospitalised with me in the Kokilaben Ambani Hospital."

Randhir Kapoor And Babita Marital Life

Going further in his interview, Randhir Kapoor had also revealed the symptoms he had felt after he had tested positive for COVID-19. The actor had also revealed that his estranged wife, Babita and daughters, Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan, have tested negative for the life-threatening virus. He had said, "I felt some shivering and decided that it is better to be safe, hence I underwent the test. But overall I am in no discomfort. I have no major problem. I am not breathless and did not need an ICU or oxygen support either. I had a bit of fever. Their reports have come negative."
