For the past few days, there has been a buzz about Alia and Ranbir's April wedding. Now, a source close to the couple revealed their wedding date and other details.

As per the reports of ETimes, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt will get married on April 17, 2022, in an intimate ceremony. The reason behind their hush-hush ceremony is Alia's maternal grandfather's poor health. A source close to the couple revealed the date and also shared that they would be tying the knot at RK studios. The source informed:
"Alia's grandfather N Razdan wanted to see her getting married to Ranbir. A hush hush wedding has thus been planned on April 17 which will be a close knit family affair. The ceremony will be held at RK Studios and nothing extravagant has been planned yet."
In an interview with NDTV, Ranbir Kapoor had opened up about the speculations regarding his wedding rumours with his Brahmastra co-star, Alia Bhatt. He had admitted that soon the much-in-love duo would tie the knot. However, he didn't mention the date, and when he was asked about this, he had given a hilarious reply. He had said:
"Mujhe paagal kutte ne nahi kaata hai ki main media ko announce kardu date. But Alia and I have all the intentions of getting married soon, so yes, hopefully soon."

On March 27, 2022, the famous bridal designer, Beena Kannan had taken to her Instagram handle and had posted a picture with Ranbir and Alia. In the photo, Alia had worn a cream-coloured ensemble while Ranbir had donned a blue-hued shirt. The couple was seen posing with the designer. However, the post was filled with netizens' comments as they had asked whether they were getting married. While one user had written, "Is it Wedding bells", another had commented, "It look likes wedding bells."
On December 15, 2021, the cast of Brahmastra had unveiled the poster and had announced the release date of the much-awaited film. During the event, Alia Bhatt had asked Ranbir Kapoor if he remembered the first day when it had all started. To which, Ranbir had quipped, "You mean, when 'WE' started?" Then, answering his girlfriend, Alia, Ranbir had not just revealed the exact date and place but had also shared one of the cutest moments of their relationship. He had said:
"2017, 1st of January, Israel, Tel Aviv. And, I remember there's a picture on your Instagram that you put the next morning with a black ganji and a leather jacket which, by the way, she sent to me 15 minutes before she put it on Instagram."
