Finally, after days of speculations, Ranbir Kapoor came out in open and confessed his relationship to the media. In an interview with GQ, Ranbir was quoted as saying, “It’s really new right now, and I don’t want to overspeak. It needs time to breathe and it needs space. As an actor, as a person, Alia is- what’s the right word- flowing right now. When I see her work, when I see her act, even in life, what she gives is something that I’m aspiring to for myself.”
Sanju actor further went on to say, “It always comes with a lot of excitement. It’s a new person, it comes with new beats. Old tricks become new tricks again- you know, being charming and romantic, all of that. I think I’m more balanced today. I value relationships more. Amidst their budding friendship and their ‘it’s new’ relationship, everyone is wondering how love blossomed between the two. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are shooting for Ayan Mukerji’s film, Brahmastra in Bulgaria and they grew close to each other while working together. The source further added, “The two took off to Bulgaria, first for a recce with Ayan and then later for the film’s shoot. Alia and Ranbir also spent New Year’s Eve in Bulgaria and Alia’s Instagram (photograph) was proof of their budding friendship.” Even Ranbir Kapoor’s mother, Neetu Kapoor bonded with Alia in Bulgaria and often post pictures with her on her Instagram and they comment on each others’ posts. Recently, Ranbir’s sister, Riddhima Kapoor gifted a special bracelet for to Alia.
Reminiscing about her first interaction with her ‘crush’, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia recalled on Karan Johar's chat show, Koffee with Karan, "I remember the first time I spoke to Ranbir. You (Karan Johar) called him up when Rockstar just released and you said, 'Here, talk to Ranbir. Tell him how much you love him'. And I spoke so much rubbish. I was just talking non-stop, and he was like, 'Yeah, that's very nice, Alia.'" She further added, "Obviously, I have hung out with him after that, and I still think he is really adorable. Ranbir Kapoor also accepted that it’s his dream come true to work with Alia, and he has a boy crush on her. The 35-year-old actor shared, "Well, I have a boy crush on her now." When Alia was asked what she likes and dislikes about Ranbir, she remarked, "I’ve gotten to know him in the last couple of months since we began work on Brahmastra. I’ve interacted a lot with him personally. But what I genuinely love about him is that he’s all heart. Alia went on to say, “There’s no fuss and that same simplicity translates in him as an actor as well. That’s why you can always see through him and see into his eyes.
