Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa had dated for over a decade, and finally, they are all ready to take the plunge. Yes, the much-in-love couple got married and left their fans in awe. While they like to keep their personal lives private, they never shied away from expressing their love for each other in media interviews and award shows.
For the unversed, Rajkummar had first seen Patralekhaa in an advertisement, and he had fallen head-over-heels in love with her. On the other hand, Patralekhaa had seen Rajkummar Rao in Love Sex and Dhoka, and she didn't have a great image of him.

On November 15, 2021, Rajkummar Rao took to his Instagram handle and shared his wedding announcement. From their wedding ceremony, the actor shared two pictures with his ladylove, Patralekhaa. Alongside it, he penned a heartfelt note on how they had been in a relationship for eleven years. The actor wrote:
"Finally after 11 years of love, romance, friendship and fun, I got married to my everything today, my soulmate, my best friend, my family. Today there is no greater happiness for me than being called your husband. Here’s to forever .. and beyond."
On the other hand, Patralekhaa also shared glimpses of her wedding ceremony. She radiated a bridal glow in a red saree with golden zari work on it. She accentuated her look with matching bridal jewellery. Alongside it, the gorgeous wrote:
"I got married to my everything today; my boyfriend, my partner in crime, my family, my soulmate...My best friend for the last 11 years! There is no greater feeling than to be your wife! Here’s to our forever."
On November 13, 2021, Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa had exchanged the rings in a fairytale engagement ceremony. There is a video from the ring ceremony making rounds on the internet. In the video, we could see Rajkummar going down on his knees, and his ladylove, Patralekhaa, followed him. It was a beautiful moment filled with a lot of love.
In a 2018 interview of Rajkummar Rao with the Hindustan Times, he talked about his mother's reaction to meeting Patralekhaa for the first time. During the interaction, Rajkummar had revealed that Patralekhaa is his best friend, and they discussed everything under the moon except marriage and babies. The actor had said:
"Patralekha is my best friend -- we discuss cinema, we discuss acting or travelling. We’re not discussing marriage or babies because we like the way we are. When my mom first met Patralekha, she said that she’s going to be the last girl I’m meeting."
