It was in 2009 when Shilpa Shetty had added a ‘Kundra’ to her surname by marrying businessman, Raj Kundra. After a brief courtship period, Shilpa and Raj married each other and have blissfully shaped their marital and parenthood life. The couple is also blessed with an adorable boy, Viaan. It has been 10 years that Shilpa and Raj have been married to each other but their love for one another is ever-increasing! In fact, time and again Raj takes to Instagram and shares pictures and his thoughts on how proud he is, of his beautiful wife, Shilpa. And here’s another such instance.
Today (June 21, 2019) is International Yoga Day and we are not unaware of Shilpa Shetty Kundra’s passion towards yoga. From bringing out her first-ever taped yoga CD to her latest app, Shilpa is doing her best to spread awareness for yoga. And today being is commemorative day, Shilpa’s hubby, Raj took to Instagram and posting a video of his wife, shared a heartfelt proud note. The same could be read as “Like Jackie Chan rightly says in this video.. @theshilpashetty you are ‘Queen of Yoga’ you have created multiple Guinness book of records, you were the first to launch a celebrity yoga DVD and your last 15 years of yoga has made you the calm very cool and super fit yoga queen you are! So proud of you my darling.”
Shilpa Shetty Kundra’s mommy, Sunanda Shetty too, had posted a heartfelt all-praise note for her darling daughter as a comment on Raj Kundra’s post. Given that today is International Yoga Day, what was the superstar up to since morning? Shilpa Shetty Kundra posted a video of her way of celebrating her day of passion. Sharing a glimpse of the same, the superstar wrote, “7 am Where: Gateway of India. What a huge turnout, No better way to celebrate #internationalyogaday than practising it with the CISF, CRPF and NCC cadets and officials... The high point... we continued with the session notwithstanding the Rain... A true celebration Happy international Yoga day instafam... Start today... if you haven’t already.”
In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Shilpa Shetty Kundra had shared if her hubby, Raj Kundra does yoga, “When Raj initially started doing yoga, he’d scream and say ‘Aaaahhh, how can you do this? How can you bend your knee?’ (laughs). Jab tak mai unko stretch karaungi, pata nahi mera kya hoga. But thankfully, he’s now enjoying it and practices whenever he gets time."
Shilpa Shetty Kundra is one of those actresses who is ageing like fine wine. In a recent interview with the Hindustan Times, Shilpa shared if yoga is an active part of her looking younger with each passing day, “Yoga is one of the mantras that work on the ageing process. The inner glow maybe its after effects. But for me, yoga is just not about ageing gracefully and I don’t do yoga just to look younger. I’ve adapted it as a way of living and it makes me calm. I love to do Surya Namaskar; it helps stretches the entire body.”
And then, Shilpa Shetty Kundra was asked if she thinks anyone from Bollywood needs to do yoga, “Kyu meri band bajaa rahi ho (laughs). I can’t name them. But I’d say everyone should do yoga because we all lead a very tough life. Nowadays, it isn’t like what it used to be 25 years ago. You’ve to check your emails everyday and complete your kids’ work. You’ve to meet the deadline of 70 other things in your list. Being a mother and a professional at the same time, yoga can glide you around the bend. On January 2019, Shilpa Shetty Kundra had taken to Instagram and sharing a beautiful picture of herself, donning a bronze shimmery ‘below the knee’ length dress, had written, “All set to sparkle and shine in the capital tonight!” To this, Raj Kundra couldn’t stop commenting on the ‘oh-so-hot’ picture of his wife, Shilpa Shetty Kundra and wrote, “Mam, you are so hot! I want to take a selfie with you, please”. In reply to this, Shilpa wrote, “Brrrrr @rajkundra9 Sir it’s soooo cold here in Delhi, need you to make me hot”, followed by a hug and a heart emoji.
