Over the decades, our Bollywood industry has witnessed many couples, who defied the age gap and settled down for the person they love. One such couple, who decided to be together despite the age gap of 14 years is Rahul Dev and Mugdha Godse.
The stunning couple had first met each other at a common friend's wedding in 2013. It was not love at first sight, however, with time, Rahul Dev and Mugdha Godse had developed a special bond through the entire wedding function. From friends, the two turned into a couple and had completed seven years of togetherness in 2020.
In a conversation with RJ Kannan, Rahul Dev talked about his girlfriend, Mugdha Godse. The actor also surfaced many hidden emotions and reactions he had faced or experienced after he had started dating Mugdha, post his wife, Reena Dev's demise in 2009. When the actor was asked to reflect on his wife's death, Rahul clearly stated that it was one of the lowest phases of his life, and he was completely broken. He said, "It was very difficult. Lagta tha industry mein kar kya raha hu main."
Going further in his emotional conversation, Rahul Dev revealed that he had 13 projects in his hands that year, but he wasn't in his senses and was wondering what he is doing in the film industry. He added, "I was a part of 13 jobs that year. I remember after the chautha, Blue ki shooting thi Bahamas mein, mujhe yaad bhi nahi kahan jaa raha tha. But gaya tha. It's forgettable, that whole chapter."

Coming back to his relationship with Mugdha Godse, when the actor was asked to explain the situation's complexity when he had started falling in love with her. Also, he was enquired whether he had felt 'guilty' when he had fallen in love again after his wife's death. To this, Rahul Dev gave an emotional answer and it will surely melt your heart. In his words, "I think anybody who's had a fantastic first relationship would always feel if this is correct, in this day and age. There is a gap, in terms of years. So I used to feel if this is proper on my part."
Rahul Dev also stated that the only opinion that had mattered to him the most at that time was of his son, Siddhant Dev. The actor explained, "There were many things. You have a next in line, he was very, very young. And the other side of the family. You'd feel that you would hurt them by moving on with your life."
At the end of his heart-to-heart conversation with RJ Kannan, the actor opened up about the qualities both he and his ladylove, Mugdha Godse, have in common and how all those qualities had played a major part in their love story. He said, "It gradually sunk in, and those are the qualities you start liking, the honesty, that straightforwardness, the care for people."
