In an interview with Asian Style Magzine, Priyanka Chopra Jonas talked about the rumours of getting plastic surgery done. Reportedly, Priyanka has mentioned in her book about a filmmaker who had said that she should go under the knife and fix her 'proportions'.Talking about if she has addressed the rumours of going under the knife in her book or not, the actress said, "I didn’t write about these things now to clarify anything to anyone. I was in a place in my life where I sat down and wrote about the milestones in my life. These happened to be those things, that I’d kept personal in my heart, things I’ve been affected by.”
Priyanka further talked about how people enjoy pulling others down in the showbiz. She continued, “I’m a woman in the entertainment business, which is kind of patriarchal, I had to be very tough. When entertainers show their weakness, people enjoy pulling you down. I learnt to keep my walls up. I kept them up, did my job and didn’t talk about the things I overcame. I’m much older and self-assured now, which makes it easier to discuss things from the past. This book is not me offering any form of clarification. It’s a story of my life from my eyes." Earlier, in an interview with Anupama Chopra, speaking about her book, Priyanka Chopra Jonas had said that it would include only the things that matter to her in the present. She had said that while she didn't intend to hide things from her readers, she had also wanted to make sure to only talk about things that were 'true to her' present. In her words, "I was honest about things that mattered to me and my journey right now. Which is why I mean that this is a very honest reflection of where I am at the moment. I didn't edit my book in a way that 'this is something I don't want to talk about' or 'this is something I can'. If it is true to me in the moment, it is in the book. If it doesn't matter to me, it is not in the book. It is very honest telling of that tale."
Priyanka had also added that she had first thought about writing 'Unfinished' in a format of letters to her younger self, but she had soon realised how few memories she had of her life. The actress had then started jotting down moments and memories that she could remember. About a week ago, Priyanka had shared the first glimpse of her book on her IG handle. Sharing a video, she had written, "Seeing my book for the first time. Can I be terrified and excited together? #Unfinished. @prhaudio. @penguinindia. @randomhouse. @michaeljbooks. @penguinukbooks."
