Priyanka and Nick’s star-studded reception in Mumbai today, is expected to be graced with the who’s who of the Bollywood. Deepika-Ranveer, Shah Rukh-Gauri, Anushka Sharma, Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Karan Johar, amongst other celebrities from the industry are expected to grace the event. Priyanka and Nick hosted their first Mumbai reception on December 19, 2018, and looked absolutely stunning together. While Priyanka wore a blue floor-length lehenga with gold brocade work which she paired with diamond jewellery, Nick looked dapper in a grey suit. She also shared a sweet message for the media and her fans, and while introducing her husband, Nick, Priyanka couldn’t stop blushing! Check out the video here:
Priyanka and Nick will finally get over with their wedding functions today, and by the end of this month, the newly-weds will wrap up their professional commitments to go for their honeymoon. As per a Mid-Day report, a source close to the couple revealed, "PeeCee and Nick will take off for Switzerland by December 28. Their week-long vacation will include a stopover at Montreux; the two plan to ring in the New Year in the resort town on Lake Geneva. PeeCee wanted to finish her pending assignments before she took off for the honeymoon. Come December 17, she will begin shooting for the new schedule of The Sky Is Pink, while simultaneously supervising the pre-production of her Bengali film, Nalini." In an interview with NDTV, when Priyanka was asked about their honeymoon plans, she reverted, “I have no idea. Right now, I have just work commitments this whole month. And I don’t know. We still haven’t figured out where. I think it’s going to be a surprise though. I think that’s what my husband’s planning."
Sharing advice to the newly-weds, Priyanka went on to add, “I would just tell brides out there, whatever your priority is, is right. It doesn’t matter if your priority is work, that’s right. If your priority is honeymoon, that’s right. If your priority is doing nothing, that’s right too. ’Cause as newlyweds, it’s really your turn. you get to do whatever you want. And with us, these are the choices we took that work for us.”
In her first interview with People magazine post-wedding, Priyanka elaborated on the most emotional moment from her wedding i.e. when she walked down the aisle. PeeCee had said, "It was all tears. All tears. I could not hold it in. I think I was nervous and scared. But as soon as the curtains opened, and I saw his face it was just like everything settled and I knew I was making the best decision of my life."
Priyanka further shared, "Every girl dreams of being a princess on her wedding day. But I never had a plan about what I wanted it to be." And added, "Being able to have two big weddings, in India, with our closest family and friends was unbelievably special. I love that our wedding was a religious mash-up. We took beautiful traditions that we both grew up with and personalized them in a way that made sense for us. It’s been incredible to find the commonalities between our beliefs and figuring out how to blend them in a respectful and meaningful way."
