We all know that Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are now officially engaged. On August 18, 2018, Nickyanka had their traditional roka ceremony at Priyanka’s residence in Mumbai. After the roka ceremony, Priyanka announced to the world about her ‘taken’ status by writing on Instagram, “Taken.. With all my heart and soul”. And Nick, on the other hand, wrote, “Future Mrs. Jonas. My heart. My love”. They both shared the following picture along with their captions:
What’s interesting to see in the entire discourse of Priyanka and Nick’s engagement ceremonies, is the fact that in-laws took to each other quite amicably. And one of the pics which has surfaced online is a proof of that. In the pic we can see, Priyanka lovingly embracing her father-in-law, Paul Kevin Jonas and planting a sweet kiss on his cheeks. Awww! Speaking of the in-laws, the Jonas family has welcomed Priyanka Chopra with their open hearts and souls. Firstly, Nick’s father and Priyanka’s father-in-law, Kevin took to his Insta handle and shared a few unseen pictures from their engagement ceremony and captioned the post as, “So happy for the engagement of our son @nickjonas and we welcome @priyankachopra into our family with love and excitement”.
And then, Nick’s brother and PeeCee’s brother-in-law, Joe Jonas, too wished the lovely couple for their engagement and welcomed the Baywatch star by beautifully writing, "I couldn’t be happier for my brother. Welcome to the family @priyankachopra We love you.”
Priyanka’s sister-in-law, Sophie Turner, called Priyanka ‘beautiful inside and out’, and posted, “Wow. First I’m blessed with an incredible future brother-in-law, and now such an beautiful, inside and out, future sister-in-law. I’m so excited to welcome you into the family @priyankachopra . I love you both @nickjonas”.
And not only this, even Priyanka and Nick’s mothers bonded amicably with each other at the engagement party. Sharing a warm moment together, they were snapped on the night of August 18, 2018, in which we could see Denise Jonas donned in a traditional Indian saree. Take a look:
In an earlier interview, when Priyanka was asked about her relationship status, she had replied, “I totally want to get married at some point. I'm single till there's a ring on my finger. And I don't think marriage makes you smaller or bigger or more feminist or not. Feminism basically is women saying give us our own choices without judging us. That's all it is. It's not about berating someone. It's not about proving a point. I totally would love to get married”.
Talking about her ideal date, she had further added, “I wouldn’t want a date night in an activity. That’s not a date. That’s a thing you do together, but date night is important to have two people be themselves and be able to spend time together and still love each other. Date night for me would be someone being thoughtful about the person they care about and being with them”.
A source close to Nick had earlier revealed to a US daily, “Nick has been obsessed with Priyanka since they started dating. He obviously thinks she’s beautiful, but he’s also drawn to her intelligence. She has this charisma and energy that draws you to her, and she’s fit in so well with his friends and family”.
