The celebrations for one of the most talked about weddings have begun! We are talking about the union of Bollywood’s desi girl, Priyanka Chopra and the international sensation, Nick Jonas. The lovebirds who are rumoured to get married on December 1, 2018, had their intimate traditional roka ceremony in Mumbai at Priyanka’s residence. As per the reports, Nick proposed PeeCee on her birthday on July 18, 2018.
Coming back to their wedding, rumours were abuzz that prior to her wedding with Nick, there will be a bridal shower party for Priyanka in New York. Similarly, Priyanka had a grand fun-filled bridal shower for which she apparently shut down the Tiffany’s. Yes, that’s right! The event took place last night on October 28, 2018, at Tiffany’s Blue Box Café in New York. The bride-to-be’s excitement could clearly be seen on her face, courtesy her happiness and glow. Priyanka looked every bit of royal as always in a pretty white strapless Marchesa gown with featured detailing on her skirt. She completed her look with nude pumps and a beautiful diamond necklace. In fact, The Sky Is Pink star herself shared a picture on her Instagram stories when she was getting ready. The party was given by her bridesmaids namely, Mubina Rattonsey and Anjula Acharia. In addition to this, Kelly Ripa, Lupita Nyong’o and Chopra’s future brother-in-law Kevin Jonas, his wife, Danielle Jonas, and their daughter Alena were also present at the do. On the wedding details, a source informed a magazine, “Nick and Priyanka were recently in India and had even gone to Jodhpur. That was when they decided the gorgeous Umaid Bhawan to be their dream wedding venue. They will have a limited guest list of 200 people with only their close friends and family in attendance. Sharing the details about how they were bombarded with questions once they appeared together for the first time. “People would ask us, in interview settings and in private, 'Are you guys seeing each other? And the answer was no. People thought we were being coy, and so did we, until we cut to, now we're engaged, so the story sort of wrote itself. We then met up a couple of months ago, five months ago now, and it was kind of immediate. We just knew it was right and jumped right in," Nick shared on Jimmy Fallon’s chat show. In another interview, Nick remarked, “So many things, I can go on and get all mushy but the thing that really connected both of us is our love for family and faith and importance of being connected to those who are always going to be with you. And we found that in each other as well, which is a beautiful thing and I am excited to start our live together.” Further talking about the camaraderie of the two families, Nick stated, “It’s a lot of love. We had a beautiful time, we went to India and did a beautiful roka ceremony. It sort of combined the two families, her side and my side.”
