Reportedly, the couple will also take the wedding vows in a white Christian wedding on December 03, 2018. Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’ upcoming wedding is definitely giving us jitters and we can’t keep calm. And to increase your excitement meter high, we have got news for you. What if we tell you that Priyanka Chopra will make a grand entry at the Umaid Bhawan Palace in a helicopter? O yes! You read that correctly!
As per reports, Priyanka has booked a chopper for her wedding which will be used on November 29 and December 03 to avoid the paparazzi and also make her wedding entry memorable for a lifetime. A source from the Mewar Helicopter services confirmed to the Bombay Times about the same and said, “Only one helicopter has been booked for November 29 and December 3. Priyanka will be boarding the helicopter from Udaipur and the helicopter will directly land at Umaid Bhawan Palace on November 29. She will be returning to Udaipur on December 3 by boarding the helicopter from the wedding venue itself. We are yet to receive the names of the people boarding the helicopter from Udaipur. Nick Jonas might join her as well. The same helicopter has also been booked to ferry guests from Jodhpur airport to the Umaid Bhawan Palace. The helicopter will take five to six rounds to ferry guests.”
Quite an arrangement, isn’t it? Which bride would not want a grand entry like this at her wedding? Priyanka and Nick’s wedding itinerary starts on November 29 with a mehendi ceremony. The following day, November 30 will witness sangeet ceremony and cocktail party at Mehrangarh Fort. On December 01, the auspicious haldi ceremony is to take place, and finally, the wedding vows will be taken on December 02, 2018.
Priyanka Chopra’s mother, Madhu Chopra is supervising and overseeing the wedding preparations. Recently, she was spotted by the paparazzi stationed outside the venue. Sharing her love for Jodhpur and how the wedding preparations are unfolding, she told the reporters, “Mera bahut pasandida shehar hai. Saari duniya chhodkar hum yahaan aaye hain. (This city is my favourite. We left aside the whole world to come to this place).” About the wedding preparations, she added, “Ab shaadi dekh lena. Abhi se kya bataaun. Jab ho jaaye, tab baat karenge (You will see it when it happens. What do I say about it now? Priyanka has also invited India’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi to her wedding, reportedly. She was in Delhi a couple of days ago and a source revealed to a media portal, “We are not sure if she was actually able to meet the PM with her fiancé. But the invitation with a special request to put in an appearance has been conveyed to the PM.”
In the report, published in Bollywood Hungama, a source who is allegedly a ‘glamorous filmmaker’ can be quoted as saying, “The whole idea is to be one-up on the other wedding. No matter how much they pretend to be friends, there is massive undercurrent of competitiveness between Priyanka and Deepika. And if Deepika’s wedding was a super-exclusive affair far away in Lake Como, Priyanka’s wedding would be a super-lavish affair right here in exotic Jodhpur.”
Priyanka’s soon-to-be-husband, Nick Jonas has also arrived in India and that has raised our excitement even further. He is going to perform for 45 minutes at the sangeet ceremony. A report recently suggested, “Nick will be performing with his troupe at the sangeet. It is tentatively a 45 mins performance where he will be singing some love songs for PeeCee.
