Prateik and Sanya became husband and wife to each other on January 23, 2019. They dated for quite some time and have known each other for almost a decade, and finally, they decided to take the nuptial plunge in 2019.
Sanya Sagar is celebrating her first birthday post-marriage today, on May 01, 2019, and her Prince Charming did something wonderful to make his ladylove's birthday the most memorable one. Prateik Babbar surprised Sanya Sagar at midnight and in fact, he took the night off from his busy schedule and shooting spree. Prateik Babbar shared the following picture on Instagram and adorably captioned it as, "I took off-set last night on my dinner break & surprised her at 12:00 with flowers a cake & some prezzies.. tho I think she knew id show up somehow.. even if just for 5 minutes to cut her cake.. sing happy birthday & rush back to work.. because that’s the only way id be for who you are my love!.. & what you do for me!.. my rock!.. my warrior!.. my wife!.. my queen! happy birthday."
Sanya Sagar couldn't control her happiness and sharing the same, she thanked her 'babycakes' by writing, "My lil one is the cutest! He was busy on a shoot all night, but he surprised me at 12 with this ginormous Bouquet a cute lil love Note and a brand new Phone. He spoils me totally. I love you very much my babycakes @_prat." Prateik Babbar and Sanya Sagar's wedding had been long-awaited in 2018 as they had gotten engaged in January 2018 itself. A source had earlier informed Mumbai Mirror sharing details about Prateik's wedding. It was reported, "They have known each other for almost a decade but have been dating for only around two years and are excited to take their relationship to next level."
For the uninitiated ones, it must be mentioned here that Sanya Sagar is a graduate from National Institute of Fashion Technology and holds a degree in filmmaking from London Film Academy. Both Sanya and Prateik's parents are in politics but it's their love for cinema that brought the two together.
Prateik and Sanya, on January 22, 2018, had exchanged rings. Announcing their engagement, the Brahmastra actor had shared the following picture with Sanya and had captioned it, “#monday.. holy snappp!.. that just happened!" and Sanya had replied, “Yus ba, sharing the news with they” with a heart emoticon.
Talking about his engagement with the Mumbai Mirror, Prateik had earlier said "Sanya and I, along with our families, decided that something as pure as love should be solemnised on an auspicious day and what better day than Basant Panchami. She’s the best partner I could have asked for. It didn’t take me long to figure out that she was the one for me. I know it sounds clichéd, but I can’t stop counting my blessings and thanking God for all the good that is happening in my life."
After he had decided to get married to his longtime belle, Sanya, Prateik had shared in an interview about his wedding plans last year, “But we want to enjoy this courtship period for a year or two; Sanya will shuttle between Mumbai and Lucknow.
