Pooja Bedi shares a beautiful bond with her daughter, Alaya Furniturewella and son, Omar Furniturewalla. Pooja was earlier married to Farhan Furniturewala, however, the things did not work out well and the two had gotten divorced on February 14, 2003. Pooja had given love another chance and had gotten engaged to her boyfriend, Maneck Contractor in 2019 and had shared the news through her column. She had written, “I'm engaged. The love of my life proposed to me in a hot air balloon, hundreds of feet high up in the sky! As he slipped an exquisite ring onto my fingers, my eyes filled with tears.”
In a video call interview with SpotboyE, Pooja was asked about her kids' reaction to the new addition in their family, her fiancé, Maneck Contractor. To which, Pooja revealed that it was her kids, Alaya and Omar, who had asked to sort her life and get married again, way before Maneck had entered her life. Pooja smilingly said, "Alaya and Omar told me, "Mom, please sort out your life like Dad. Get married again.” Pooja also shared that she told her kids that she will only settle down when she can find the right person with whom she can spend the rest of her life.
Pooja further shared that her kids have always been supportive of all the choices she has made throughout her life. She said, "My children have liked all the men I have been in a relationship with. As Pooja Bedi is all set to tie the knot with Maneck Contractor. In another interview with SpotboyE, Pooja’s daughter, Alaya Furniturewalla had talked about her mother’s wedding. Talking about the same, Alaya had said that her mother spends most of her time in Goa and will tie the knot soon. Talking further, Jawaani Jaaneman actress had said that Maneck is a nice man, who will keep her mother happy.
As Pooja Bedi had turned 50 on May 11, 2020, her daughter, Alaya had posted a short and crisp birthday wish for her mother. Posting a twinning-in-white picture with her mother, where Alaya could be seen smiling and Pooja could not stop adoring her girl. Along with the picture, Alaya had written, “Happy birthday Mama! Love you lots.” Thanking her fans for the wishes, Pooja had tweeted, “I turned 50! Today!! Can’t believe I’ve been on this planet for Half a century!! It’s all been so “magical”. Every bit of it! Thank each 1 of u who have been so supportive, interesting & decent even if we debate with conflicting views. lots of love & happiness to all of you.” Pooja had cut her birthday cakes in the presence of the love of her life, Maneck Contractor, her children, Alaya and Omar while her father, Kabir Bedi was on the video call.
