The lady got married to her ‘best-friend-cum-now-hubby’, Chirag Thakkar, in a private wedding ceremony in a temple, with her co-stars by her side. With her chooda, red saree, minimalistic make-up and orange sindoor, Parul made for one of the prettiest brides ever! Sharing a picture, she wrote, "Our wedding was a busy day filled with family members, friends, and other loved ones. Thanks so much for being an important part of this day—we will remember it always!

Giving her fans an answer to this, Parul Chauhan posted her first look after her marriage. And as they say, with the new bride charm, the Sapna Babul Ka...Bidaai fame actress looked extremely pretty! Parul had her mehendi ceremony on December 11, 2018, where she looked one happy bride-to-be! The Punar Vivah - Ek Nayi Umeed star looked beautiful in a yellow crop-strappy top and a long skirt. What further accentuated her look was her curly hair, floral headgear and gota jewellery and the most unique part of her mehendi? Now Mrs Thakkar, the beautiful actress was quoted as saying, “Chirag is not my boyfriend, he is my friend. We have not dated in the conventional term. Don’t you want to know their love story? Theirs, is a love-cum-arranged marriage. Revealing their love story, Parul was quoted as saying, “I met Chirag in 2015 through a common friend and found him to be completely different from the people I come across usually. He is a simple and rooted guy. He did not propose to me. We have been good friends and everything is progressing slowly. I realised that I should marry a guy like him when I started to know him better, as he would always keep his companion happy. Last year, when my mother visited me during Diwali I invited Chirag and his family for the puja. When my mother met Chirag, she said that she wanted a son-in-law like him. The two families eventually talked about it and finally, we are getting married.”
Parul is extremely close to her Sapna Babul Ka...Bidaai and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’s producer, Rajan Shahi. She had once shared that no knew about her marriage plans other than her family members and Rajan and added, “No one knows about my marriage besides my family and him. I was in London when I wanted to tell him about Chirag, but I chose to talk to him in person. He was very happy and that was visible on his face. He met Chirag on the auspicious day of Ganesh Chaturthi. Rajan sir told Chirag to take care of his daughter and keep her happy always, to which Chirag happily said, ‘yes’.”
On September 2018, Parul surprised her fans when she posted a note confirming the news of her marriage. The note could be read as, “I believe marriage is lifelong commitment and friendship is a lifelong engagement. Chirag, every single day I spent being your friend, I realise how lucky I am to live such an amazing life!! By choosing a best friend for marriage, I chose happiness for life. You are the best thing happened to me! Thank you very much to Rajan sir who always treats me like his daughter and being always my mentor and family.
