Parul Chauhan and Chirag Thakkar became each other’s forever on December 12, 2018, and needless to say, the much-in-love couple looked breathtakingly beautiful on their wedding day. While Parul is looking the prettiest bride in a red saree with gold jewellery and chooda, the groom Chirag is looking dapper in a beige coloured sherwani. Parul Chauhan’s mehendi ceremony took place on December 11, 2018, and she looked a super-happy bride-to-be in her mehendi adorned hands and was all smiles for the cameras. The Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hain star looked beautiful in a yellow crop-strappy top and a long skirt. What further accentuated her look was her curly hair, floral headgear and gota jewellery and the most unique part of her mehendi? Her mehendi design had her best friend-cum-fiance, Chirag Thakkar's face pained on it! A few weeks back, Parul confirmed her wedding with Chirag, in an interview with Bombay Times, and was quoted as saying, “My family and relatives have been waiting for me to get married. Everybody had this question, so finally, yes, the time has come. I am getting married on December 12. We haven’t zeroed in on the venue yet. But there will be a court marriage in Mumbai, followed by a small function in my hometown Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh, and a get-together in Mumbai."
She further added, “I have been running errands and taking half-day offs from my shoot to make arrangements for my in-laws, and it has been quite hectic.” Talking about her long-time boyfriend, Chirag, Parul shared that they two have not dated each other in conventional ways. The Sapna Babul Ka...Bidaai actress said, “Chirag is not my boyfriend, he is my friend. We have not dated in the conventional term. If having coffee together and sharing everything with your best friend amounts to dating, then yes, we dated for three years.”
Sharing their love story, Punar Vivah - Ek Nayi Umeed actress said, “I met Chirag in 2015 through a common friend and found him to be completely different from the people I come across usually. He is a simple and rooted guy. He did not propose to me. We have been good friends and everything is progressing slowly. I realised that I should marry a guy like him when I started to know him better, as he would always keep his companion happy. Last year, when my mother visited me during Diwali I invited Chirag and his family for the puja. When my mother met Chirag, she said that she wanted a son-in-law like him. The two families eventually talked about it and finally, we are getting married.”
In September, when Parul confirmed her wedding with Chirag, she shared the following picture on her Instagram handle. She captioned it as, “I believe marriage is lifelong commitment and friendship is a lifelong engagement.! Chirag, every single day I spent being your friend, I realise how lucky I am to live such an amazing life.!! By choosing a best friend for marriage, I chose happiness for life .! You are the best thing happened to me.! Thank you very much to Rajan sir who always treats me like his daughter and being always my mentor and family..!
