A wedding marks the beginning of a woman's new life. It's one of the most significant events in one's life that brings people from all over the place together to the same place to enjoy a few days. It comes with a memoir of some fun events, including haldi, mehendi, sangeet, the big fat wedding, and the reception. But, different cultures have different traditions, which sometimes add a few more ceremonies. Just as in a traditional Islamic wedding, it starts with Milad, then Haldi, Mehendi, Sangeet, Baraat, Nikah, and ends with Walimah. However, the more number of events, the more difficult it becomes in choosing outfits!
A wedding may mean joy, laughter, love, and all sorts of happy vibes but the pre-wedding days are quite emotional for the bride. It's a big step in every girl's life, and that's why they want to look their best at their big events. It's a huge task for a bride-to-be to select what to wear, which designer to choose, the hairstyle, makeover, and the whole getup. There are so many options out there that it can give a head spin to a girl before marriage. The bride, Mariam Sethi, had chosen her outfits very carefully, keeping in mind the traditions, rich cultures, and her unique fashion sense. She was all set to get nikahfied to the man of her dreams, Taha Khawaja, wearing dreamy white couture, which absolutely made her look nothing less than a royal princess. She had opted for different colour palettes for her various wedding events and had looked gorgeous in each one of them.
Milad marks the first day of an Islamic wedding. On this day, only the women from both families arrive to give their blessings, love, bearing many exquisite gifts. Mostly, the brides choose white or pastel colour palettes to get ready, and this bride-to-be also didn't have any exceptions. Mariam had looked ravishing in an ivory coloured A-line kurta set. The suit was heavily embroidered with resham and pearls, giving a vibrant touch to it. She had paired it with a pleated-ruffle-style dupatta.

To add a pop colour to it, she had worn an indigo blue crystal beaded neckpiece, a set of earrings, and a sleek statement maang teeka. For her makeup, she had kept it very subtle with kohled-eyes, thick lashes, blushed-toned cheeks, and a very light shade of lipstick. She had completed her whole look with a small ivory coloured clutch, embellished with golden resham and white carnations for her hair updo.

Haldi is always a fun ceremony of vibrant colours, pretty decor, and extravagant wedding outfits. The bride had opted for a bright orange colour for her haldi ceremony. She had worn an orange coloured lehenga choli embellished with silver sequins on the broad border of the lehenga and embroidered hemline of the choli. It was not heavily decorated but, her whole look was worth looking at it. She had paired her lehenga with a sleek polki jewellery set and a white floral hairdo.

For makeup, she had opted for winged liner, high-defined eyebrows, thick lashes, and orange matte lip shade. But what has to be mentioned here is the decor. Mariam and Taha's haldi ceremonial decoration looked nothing less than a film set with all the floral ornamentation, customised corners, and bursts of fun colours like pink, yellow, orange!

Nikah is the main event among all the ceremonies as on this day, she says Qubool Hai and is pronounced as Mrs! Keeping the richness of the tradition in mind, this bride had chosen a white gharara suit and had paired it with a beautiful sheer dupatta embroidered on the hemline. The gharara suit was heavily embellished with zari and multi-coloured resham in floral motifs giving a regal look to the bride. She had completed her look with a white pearl and stone embedded polki jewellery set.

For makeup, she had opted for golden smokey eyes with a dark-kohled rim, thick lashes, blushed cheeks, and pink lip shade to add a pinch of colour to her outfit. She had pulled her hair in a bun and decorated it with white gajras and had looked ethereal.

On her mehendi day, Mariam had chosen a beautiful powder blue and sea-green combination lehenga choli embellished with stone, zari, sequins on the skirt and had paired it with a sheer dupatta. She had completed her look with smokey winged liner, contoured cheeks, nude lips and defined brows. She had paired her lehenga choli with a three-tier red crystal beaded neckpiece and coordinated set of earrings and a maang teeka. She had rounded off her couture with a golden embroidered potli bag.

The sangeet outfit is the one that took our breath away! We couldn't take our eyes off the bride's look on her sangeet. She had worn a pastel white coloured lehenga with long kurta style choli and had paired it with a tasselled dupatta. The lehenga was embroidered with multi-coloured floral and butterfly motifs, giving a 3D effect of Kaleidoscope. She had completed the look with a diamond jewellery set, defined brows, kohl-rimmed eyes, thick lashes, nude lips, and had kept her hair in a three-folded bun. She had looked absolutely graceful!

Walimah is the reception night. The night that marks the end of this fun festive mood, and to set the bar high enough, this bride had chosen moon colour, a greyish blush lehenga with a heavily done lacy patchwork of floral and leaf motifs. For makeup, she had opted for winged eyes, curled up lashes, high-defined brows but the showstopper was her bright red lip shade. She had rounded off her look with a beautiful sleek diamond jewellery set that had given an edge to her look. Not only the bride, but her groom had also oomphed his fashion game! He had looked dapper in every ceremony. He had draped a black tuxedo for his walimah and had looked mashallah!
