Popular Bengali actress and TMC MP, Nusrat Jahan released an official statement in media regarding her separation reports with her husband, Nikhil Jain. The actress dropped some headline-breaking revelations in her statement as she stated that her marriage with Nikhil isn't valid in India.

For the unversed, Nusrat Jahan had tied the marital knot with her boyfriend and businessman, Nikhil Jain. After which, her interfaith marriage had become the talk of the town. Soon, Dar-ul-Uloom, the most prominent seminary of Islamic education in Asia, had objected to her marriage had issued a fatwa against her. While on one side, many people were against Nusrat Jahan and Nikhil Jain's wedding, a lot of notable politicians and million fans of the actress had supported and praised the couple for standing strong for their love towards each other.
On June 9, 2021, TMC MP and actress, Nusrat Jahan released a statement in media answering all the doubts and questions about the status of her marriage with husband, Nikhil Jain. The actress shocked everyone with her revelation that their marriage is invalid in India as per the marriage regulation rules of the Turkish government. She said, "Being on foreign land, as per Turkish Marriage Regulation, the ceremony is invalid. Moreover, since it was an interfaith marriage, it requires validation under Special Marriage Act in India, which did not happen."
Going further in her statement, Nusrat Jahan also added that according to marriage rules in court also, her wedding with Nikhil Jain isn't a valid one, and their separation had happened a long time ago. She continued, "As per the court of law, it is not a Marriage, but a relationship or a live-in relationship. Thus, the question of divorce does not arise. Our separation happened long back."

The actress also revealed the reason behind her decision to not talk about her separation from Nikhil Jain earlier in media. Also, she requested the media to stop asking her questions, keeping the separation in their mind. She added, "I did not speak about it as I intended to keep my private life to myself. Thus, my actions must not be questioned based on "separation", by the media or anybody I am not related to. The alleged marriage is not legal, valid and tenable; and thus, was not a marriage at all in the eye of law."
Soon after releasing an official statement in media, Nusrat Jahan took to her Instagram handle and shared a beautiful sunset picture of herself, in which she can be seen leaning towards her luxury car. However, it's Nusrat's cryptic note in the caption that is ruling all the headlines on the internet. Her caption can be read as "I won't be remembered as a woman who can keep her mouth shut... and I'm ok with that.... #throwbackpic #deserted #retrospective." Nusrat also uploaded a cryptic post on her IG story too and it can be read as "I'm mastering the art of being silent, even when there's a lot to be said."

According to a report in Hindustan Times Bangla, TMC MP and actress, Nusrat Jahan is reportedly pregnant for the last six months. However, the actress has neither confirmed nor denied the ongoing reports about their pregnancy. In the middle of these speculations, according to a Bengali news channel, ABP Ananda, Nusrat and her husband, Nikhil Jain aren't living together for the last six months, and the latter is also not aware of Nusrat's pregnancy. Nikhil also added that the child isn't his because they haven't even contacted for months.
Nusrat Jahan's relationship rumours with Yash Dasgupta are riding high on the internet because the actress has reportedly deleted most of her pictures with her husband, Nikhil Jain from her IG handle. However, on the other side, Nusrat has shared many stunning pictures with Yash in recent months. For instance, on October 19, 2020, Nusrat had shared three lovely photos with Yash, and the two had looked great together as they had twinned in black.
