On August 28, 2020, Nidhi had celebrated her mehendi ceremony with her family members and closed friends, followed by a star-studded engagement on August 30, 2020. On September 2, 2020, she took to her IG handle to share some of the unseen pictures from the same. Talking about her mehendi look, Nidhi had opted for a simple yet elegant, baby pink-coloured ensemble and had accentuated her look with flower jewellery. She had kept her makeup simple which had added to the sheer elegance of her look. Her engagement lehenga was pink in colour and had a classy royal blue border. Nidhi Dutta had shared the details of her intimate engagement ceremony and had stated to The Times Of India, “The engagement will be a small and intimate affair, with the blessings of Bappa. Everything was confirmed just around Holi (in March) this year. As of now, the wedding is scheduled for December, but we will take it as it comes.” It was, indeed, an intimate affair with some of their close friends from the industry in attendance. In an interview with The Times of India, Nidhi had revealed how she had met her future hubby, Binoy and had said, "Our love story has many similarities with that of my parents. Mom and dad met on the set of a film called Sarhad, which was supposed to be dad's directorial debut. The film never saw the light of the day but turned out to be the reason for their happily ever after. Binoy was to make his directorial debut with a film for our company, and I was supposed to act in it. We met through a common friend. The film he was to make never released, but it turned out to be the beginning of our relationship. So, it's been a little bit of history repeating itself."
