Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’ wedding day is nearing and within 10 days, they would be husband and wife to each other. The wedding preparations are going on in full-swing at the famous Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur where Nickyanka would take their wedding vows. PeeCee and Nick’s wedding is one of the most awaited weddings of 2019, especially after they officially exchanged rings during the roka ceremony on August 18, 2018. As we all know that Nick is an American singer who resides in New Jersey, we have been waiting for his arrival in India for his D-day. And guess what? Nick has left for India finally! Nick left from New York and is already on his way to India, and hence the countdown has begun finally! Recent headlines are abuzz with the news that apart from a Hindu wedding on December 02, 2018, Priyanka and Nick would also take the plunge in a white Christain wedding. Yayiie! All geared up for the treat of two weddings? Recently, PeeCee’s mom, Madhu Chopra was spotted at the wedding venue, and she told the reporters there, “Mera bahut pasandida shehar hai. Saari duniya chhodkar hum yahaan aaye hain. (This city is my favourite. We left aside the whole world to come to this place).” About the wedding preparations, she added, “Ab shaadi dekh lena. Abhi se kya bataaun. Jab ho jaaye, tab baat karenge (You will see it when it happens. What do I say about it now? We will talk when it happens) (sic).”
Earlier a report in a leading daily confirmed the wedding venue of Priyanka and Nick by quoting a source as saying, “Nick and Priyanka were recently in India and had even gone to Jodhpur. That was when they decided the gorgeous Umaid Bhawan to be their dream wedding venue. They will have a limited guest list of 200 people with only their close friends and family in attendance.” The insider has also added, “Since a lot of their Hollywood friends are settled in New York, PC is quite excited to have her bridal shower there followed by a grand wedding in Jodhpur.”
A recent report in the Mid-Day revealed Priyanka’s wedding outfits and it could be read as, “While the bridal trousseau will be an Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla creation, she will sport a Ralph Lauren ensemble for the Christian wedding. Coming back to Nick, as much as we are excited about their wedding, he is on a different level. He has prepped up for a performance during the sangeet ceremony. A recent report suggested, “Nick will be performing with his troupe at the sangeet. It is tentatively a 45 mins performance where he will be singing some love songs for PeeCee. The event organizers have already been told about this special act that will be a part of their sangeet.”
Speaking of sangeet, Priyanka’s sister, Parineeti Chopra is also all set for the same. During the promotions of her last film, Namaste England, she said, “I would do Desi Girl, Tune Mari Entriyaan, Ram Chahe Leela-Leela Chahe Ram, basically all my favourite tracks, and In My City. An English song for the Jonases so that unko bhi samajh aaye kaunsa gaana hum log kar rahe hain. And one I would do Nick’s song; his new song Right Now is very good.”
Entertainment Tonight recently claimed that Priyanka and Nick had earlier planned to marry in the early 2019 but then their plans changed. The report suggested, “Priyanka and Nick were planning to get married early next year, but it now looks like they may tie the knot by the end of 2018”. The report could further be read as, “Since day one, Priyanka and Nick have clicked and have never taken their relationship slow. The couple got engaged two months after dating, they've met each other’s families and had a bridal shower and bachelorette party in a very short period of time.
