Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are all set to take the wedding vows in a ‘Bollywood-meets-Hollywood’ wedding on December 2-3, 2018 at the famous Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur. The pre-wedding festivities of Nickyanka (as fans affectionately call them) have begun and it started with a puja ceremony at PeeCee’s mother, Madhu Chopra’s residence. In an interview with Vogue, fans have now learnt of Priyanka and Nick’s timeline about their beautiful love story. We all believe that it was at Met Gala 2017 that Priyanka and Nick started dating. But their text flirtations began much before. It was in 2016 when Nick and Priyanka officially met for a drink at the Carlyle Hotel, New York. Priyanka revealed that after their meeting, she invited Nick to her apartment where her mother, Madhu Chopra was watching Law & Order in her nightgown.
Priyanka, Nick and Madhu Chopra met for the first time together back then. Priyanka shared, “We hung out for a couple of hours. He patted my back before he left,” and then Nick jumped in to add something which will leave you in splits. He said, “There was no kiss. There was nothing.” Recalling that night, Nick added, “She’s still upset about that. Your mom was in the house! I thought it was a respectful first night.” Priyanka concluded by replying, “It was too respectful if you ask me.”
It was indeed respectful, right? Priyanka and Nick have often been trolled online for their 10-year-age-gap. In another interview, when Nick was asked about his love story with Priyanka, he summarised it and briefly commented, “We met through a friend. We got connected first over text and we started talking for a while. It was about six months before we met up in person. We actually attended the MET Gala, a few years ago together and had a great time. We were just friends and our lives were taking us to different places.”
Clearly, Nick was swept off his feet by Priyanka’s beauty and charm. And eventually, after various attendance at events together and many speculations, Priyanka and Nick got officially engaged in a roka ceremony on August 18, 2018. And now, 3 months later, their wedding festivities have started and they are all set to become husband and wife to each other.
Priyanka and Nick’s wedding is going to be as royal as the couple that they make. Do you know that a chopper has been booked exclusively for the two to land at their wedding venue? A source told a media house, “Only one helicopter has been booked for November 29 and December 3. Priyanka will be boarding the helicopter from Udaipur and the helicopter will directly land at Umaid Bhawan Palace on November 29.”
The report further added, “She will be returning to Udaipur on December 3 by boarding the helicopter from the wedding venue itself. We are yet to receive the names of the people boarding the helicopter from Udaipur. Nick Jonas might join her as well. The same helicopter has also been booked to ferry guests from Jodhpur airport to Umaid Bhawan Palace.
