Every year, the month of January begins with a lot of hopes, wishes and prayers. We kickstart the year with the hope of finding our 'happily ever after' and fulfilling our dreams. And the year 2020 has started on a similar note in the world of glam and glitz. While some welcomed the year with liplock pictures, there are some, who changed their relationship status to 'just married'. And television actress, Nehha Pendse is from the latter category. On January 5, 2020, Nehha tied the knot with the man of her dreams, Shardul Singh Byas in an intimate ceremony in Pune. Since last year, Nehha's relationship rumours have been making headlines but she kept denying it. And in August 2019, she had confirmed her relationship status with SpotboyE and had accepted her love for Shardul. The gorgeous actress had welcomed 2020 with a beautiful liplock picture with the man of her dreams. She had posted on her official Instagram handle and had written, "Because it’s the last single girl kiss - Carrie Bradshaw."
On January 6, 2020, Nehha took to her Instagram handle and shared unseen pictures from her wedding. And oh boy, we loved how beautiful Nehha looked as a Maharashtrian bride. In the pictures, we can see the actress donning a pastel-pink Nauvari saree. She accessorised her look with a nath and chandrakor tikali (half moon-shaped bindi). Nehha ki shaadi had kick-started with a sangeet function and we totally loved how happy the bride and the groom looked. The couple had opted for matching ensembles and the Bigg Boss fame actress had shared a mushy picture on her Instagram just before the ceremony. On January 4, 2020, Nehha had gotten engaged to Shardul in an intimate ceremony. She had donned a jewel-toned green gown. On the other hand, Shardul had opted for a checkered-coat teamed with a pair of blue pants.
In an interview with the Bombay Times, Nehha had talked about her Maharashtrian wedding ceremony and had shared, "Though Shardul is a Rajput from Rajasthan, his family moved to Pune long ago. Today, he is as much a Maharashtrian as me. So, we are going to have a Maharashtrian wedding"
Nehha had also shared how she met Shardul and had said, "We met a little more than a year ago, at a common friend’s party. He first connected with me for professional reasons and that’s how we got talking. However, he was quite inquisitive about my personal life and soon asked me out on a date. But, I was apprehensive, as we were not even friends then. I told him that we should get to know each other first. My apprehension also stemmed from the fact that I just had an ugly break-up, and had not got over it. What drew me towards Shardul was his caring nature. He understood my fragile state of mind and soothed my broken heart. He, too, has been through a lot in life. He is also very well-read, intelligent, understanding and good at reading people’s minds. He cracked me on the first meeting (laughs!)."
She had further added, "Shardul proposed marriage three months after we started dating, in April. Both of us were looking at something more concrete and stable on the relationship front. We didn’t have the dekhte hain, chalta hai attitude. Shardul told me that he was ready to marry me that very day, but he wanted me to get over my past. At that point, I was seeking more than just love... I was looking for commitment and marriage as well. Both of us had burnt our fingers in love once and didn’t want to get into that space again. Also, we were serious about the institution of marriage. In fact, we hardly had mushy, romantic talks initially, we would instead have intelligent conversations. And that drew me closer to him. There is never a moment of boredom with Shardul. He is exactly what I wanted in my man. I guess this (marriage) was meant to happen."
