Alia Bhatt and her boyfriend, Ranbir Kapoor were seen head-over-heels in love with each other at the Filmfare Awards held on March 23, 2019. Therein, Alia received an award for Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female) for Meghna Gulzar’s Raazi, while beau, Ranbir Kapoor had received an award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for Rajkumar Hirani’s, Sanju. And what could be a more pious moment for the two leading stars in the tinsel town, sharing the stage together to take the black lady home?
And in the same regards, super-proud moms of the two starlets, Neetu Kapoor and Soni Razdan, took to Instagram and posted a beautiful picture of the ‘couple’, along with heartwarming messages for them from their respective social media accounts. While Neetu ji wrote, “AND moments like these make you forget all the stress congratulations so proud n happy #filmfareawards #bestactor#bestactress”, Soni ji posted, “Congratulations you two ... happiness and proudness #filmfareawards #congratulations #andcelebrations.” Also checkout what Ranbir Kapoor’s sister, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni commented on her mommy, Neetu Kapoor’s post:
Isn’t that amazing? One of the first amalgamations of Kapoor-Bhatt clan was seen during Ranbir Kapoor's 36th birthday on September 28, 2018 when an insider told online portal BollywoodLife that the mommies (Neetu Kapoor and Soni Razdan) were discussing about Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s marriage over the latter's birthday dinner! Yes, a source had revealed to the portal, “Alia is in a great phase of her life right now. She is in love and they both are sure of each other. Marriage is certainly on the cards but it won't happen before 2020."
In October last year, we shared with you that Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor might take the ‘great vow’ after the latter’s father, Rishi Kapoor’s recovery. A close family friend of the Kapoors threw light on the same and had shared, “She has been welcomed into the family by everyone. So it’s not just Ranbir who loves Alia. His parents, sister and the rest of the sprawling Kapoor family adore her too. Marriage is on Ranbir’s mind for sure and he will get into it happily this time. The couple will wait until Rishi Kapoor’s recovery before discussing a date for marriage.” (Must Read: Kartik Aaryan Says 'Sirf Coffee Se Kaam Nhi Chalega' To Sara Ali Khan After Her Filmfare Win)
Speaking about Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor and their rumoured 2020 wedding, a SpotboyE report suggested that the couple’s families are considering marriage seriously and are also going to meet a pandit to lock in their wedding dates, after Rishi Kapoor returns to India. Speaking about the same, a source had revealed to the portal, “Bhatts and Kapoors will meet a Pandit together to zero down on some auspicious dates for the shaadi and one of those dates will be finalised. There is loose talk that the Pandit meeting date has been fixed up for April."
In an earlier interview with Mid-Day, Ranbir Kapoor’s father, Rishi Kapoor had indirectly dropped every possible confirmation on Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s budding relationship. He had shared, “Jo hai woh hai, sabko pata hai. I don't need to say anything more.” In yet another interview with Mumbai Mirror, Rishi had stated, “Neetu likes her, I like her, Ranbir likes her. Get it? I can't be judgmental. After all, my uncles Shammiji and Shashiji and I chose our life partners. Ranbir is entitled to choose his."
While Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have mostly remained mum about their relationship, their families have been very upfront about them and always dropped major hints about their bond. It was not long when Alia’s daddy dear, Mahesh Bhatt finally confirmed his daughter and ‘probable’ son-in-law, Ranbir Kapoor’s relationship and we couldn’t be more excited! In an interview with The Telegraph, the Raaz director had revealed, “Well, of course they’re in love. You don’t need to be a genius to get that! I love Ranbir… he’s a great guy. What they do to their relationship is something they’ll have to figure out.” (Also Read: Priyanka Chopra Is Planning To Go On Double Date With Nick Jonas' Ex Miley Cyrus And Her Spouse)
