Neetu Kapoor has proved herself to be an all-rounder both professionally and personally. Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh were so in love that the actress had decided to quit acting to be with the love of her life. After fighting the odds, in 1980, Neetu Singh had become Neetu Kapoor after tying the knot with Rishi Kapoor. It was two kids, Riddhima Kapoor Sahani and Ranbir Kapoor, and many years later that Neetu Kapoor had made her comeback on screen. Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor’s love story is still everyone’s favourite, though it was "End of our story" for the couple as Rishi Kapoor had breathed his last in 2020.
Since Rishi Kapoor’s demise, it is Neetu Kapoor’s kids, Riddhima Kapoor Sahani and Ranbir Kapoor, who have become her pillar of strength and don’t wish to leave her alone. A few days after the demise of her father, Riddhima had posted an adorable picture with Neetu and Ranbir. She had posted a throwback selfie on her Instagram stories, in which Neetu Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor could be seen smiling for the camera. Along with the picture, she had written, "Got your back Ma #yourpillars."
For months, Riddhima Kapoor Sahani had stayed with her mother, Neetu Kapoor after her father’s death. And now, that Riddhima is back in Delhi with her husband, Bharat Sahani, she ensures that she connects with her mother, Neetu Kapoor via video calls. Riddhima too has many fan pages like her star family members and one of her fan pages shared a picture on their IG handle, where the mommy-daughter can be seen indulged in a video call as Neetu clicked the picture. Well, other than Neetu-Riddhima’s bond, it was Neetu Kapoor’s lavish living room that caught our attention. The room has a white single lounger and multiple sofas with coffee tables placed at accessible distances. Neetu Kapoor’s living room looks like a cosy space where everyone is welcomed.
In an interview with Filmfare, Neetu Kapoor had opened up on not living with her children, Ranbir Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni. Talking about the same Neetu had said, “I want them to be busy with their lives. I say mere dil mein raho, mere sar pe mat chadho (stay in my heart, don’t stand on my head). When Riddhima was with me for the pandemic, I was so stressed for one year because she couldn’t go back. I used to get so restless. I used to tell her Riddhima to go back, Bharat is alone. I was literally pushing her away. I like my privacy. I am used to this way of life.”
Neetu had concluded her interview by saying that she has always been an independent woman. Stating that she doesn’t want her kids to be around her as she loves her independent life, the doting mommy had retorted, “I get happy when they come, but I want them to go back to their homes and be settled. I just say one thing, don’t meet me every day, but stay connected. I don’t want them to be around me all the time, I am very independent that way. I love my life the way it is.”
On April 10, 2021, Neetu Kapoor had taken to her Instagram stories and had shared a never-seen-before picture of her daughter, Riddhima and son, Ranbir from their late father, Rishi Kapoor's one of the prayer meets. In the picture, the brother-sister duo could be seen twinning in black and giving us some major sibling goals. The doting mother, Neetu had also given an important piece of advice to her children in her small note, which she had penned atop the photo, and it could be read as "Brothers and sisters are the best gift from your parents. Respect and love each other always #worldsiblingday."
