When a woman conceives, her motherhood journey begins at that very moment. She starts to see her future with her soon-to-be-born, even if she is pregnant for the second time. Things start to change in her, and all she can do is wait for nine months to see her little ones. However, for some mothers, their world comes crashing down when they hear things like ‘your baby may not make it.’ Punjabi actress, Neeru Bajwa, too had gone through it when she was pregnant with her twins. On their second birthday, Neeru recalled that very moment when the doctors had shared the dreaded news with her.
The Jatt and Juliet star, Neeru Bajwa had tied the knot with Indian-Canadian businessman, Harry Jawandha in 2015. The couple had welcomed their first child, Aanaya Kaur Jawandha, after a few months of their wedding. The actress had become a mother for the second time with twin daughters, and on February 22, 2020, she had shared the news with her fans, revealing the name of her little munchkins to be Aakira and Aalia.
Taking to her IG handle, a while back, Neeru Bajwa shared a series of pictures from her twin daughters, Aakira and Aalia’s second birthday bash. Neeru shared pictures from their in-house party, which included photos from her twins’ cake cutting ceremony and their play area fun. Along with the pictures, Neeru recalled how two years ago, her doctor had told her that her twins may not make it and now, she is celebrating their second birthday. She penned:
“I remember two years ago the doctor told me … -“they may not make it” I didn’t believe it for a second … my warrior princesses you are mommy’s good luck charms I love you Happy 2nd Birthday Aalia and Aakira. I promise to give you my best. I may make mistakes but I will always have your back.”
In October 2021, Neeru had shared a series of pictures from her brother’s ‘maiyan’ ceremony, and her twinning moment with her three daughters had caught everyone’s attention. Her little ones had looked adorable as they had worn multiple bindis on their face. Sharing the pictures, Neeru had written:
“#priceless moments captured by @dreamfinitystudios… we missed you so much Dad yes my twins love bindis so they try to cover their whole face @aliwarofficial.”
On May 15, 2020, Neeru had shared a glimpse of her labour room when she was pregnant with her twins, on her IG handle. She had looked a little tired because of the labour pain, and her sister was seen blow-drying her hair. Along with the video, Neeru had mentioned that they had a girl’s night at the hospital. Her caption along with the video could be read as:
“Thank you @megan.brar ... we had a girls night in my hospital room... I was there one week after my water broke, my sisters @bajwasabrina @megan.brar had a lovely girls night ... love you.”
Happy birthday to Neeru’s twin daughters!
