The divorce case of Nawazuddin Siddiqui with his wife, Aaliya is taking new twists and turns every other day. The man had an image of a dedicated and loving family man, as in various interviews, he had talked about his family, wife and kids with happiness. However, the news of his divorce has sent a wave of shock amongst his fans. Every other day comes with some new claims and allegations and nobody actually knows the real truth and story. Aaliya, who had changed her name and religion to be with him, has left people puzzled as she had filed for divorce after spending 11 years with him. There have been bouts of accusations taking place. From accusing Nawazuddin of not supporting her or taking care of her emotionally, to revealing that his mother, brother and sisters had tortured her for years now, Aaliya’s accusations are shocking everyone. She had also shared that Nawaz’s first wife, Sheeba too had left him because of the torture. Now, Aaliya claims to be living separately with husband, Nawaz since 4-5 years and how both brothers have no respect for women.
In a conversation with ABP, Aaliya talked about the problems she was facing in her married life with Nawaz, “We were facing problems in our married life since the time we got hitched. Neither Nawazuddin nor his brothers know how to respect women. He used to only point out my mistakes whenever we talked. He even insulted me several times in front of others. He said, ‘When you don’t know how to speak, then you should remain quiet’. He never gave me the respect which a wife deserves in a relationship. I lost all my self-respect during our relationship.”
Aaliya also talked about living separately from Nawaz since last 4-5 years before filing for divorce. She said that Nawaz used to live at his office and he used to visit them, thus people thought everything is fine between the two. She said “I sent a divorce notice to Nawaz 15 days back, but people don’t know that we have been living apart since the last 4-5 years. After separation, Nawazuddin mostly used to stay at his office in Yari Road near our house. In the same interview, Aaliya also talked about how Nawaz used to neglect her and their kids in when he had spare time and this behaviour of Nawaz had disturbed her mentally. She also shared that the rumours of her affair with Nawaz’s manager, Peeyush Pandey are a hoax and people are trying to defame her. For the uninitiated, recently there were allegations on Aaliya of having an affair with Nawaz's friend, Peeyush Pandey, however, he had come forward and denied all the reports.
In an interaction with The Times of India, Peeyush had quoted, “I got to know about their divorce notice through the media. I am the scapegoat here. These link-up rumours are completely baseless and ridiculous! Why am I being dragged into this? I have nothing to do with this. People around them know about their feud and what is going on between them (estranged relationship). I want to stay away from it. Why is my name and reputation being tarnished? I am in a relationship with someone and this sort of rumour is extremely distasteful. This puts me in a spot with my family and friends. Luckily, my better half is aware of the truth as she is also friends with Aaliya. I will consult my lawyer as to what needs to be done to safeguard my interests."
