In a conversation with Pinkvilla, Nawaz opened up a little about his personal life and said, "I genuinely can't speak about my personal issues here. But yes, I hope that I fulfil all my responsibilities towards my kids, in every way possible. Main apne beti ko pyaar bohut karta hoon. But baki personal life ke baare mein main kuch nahi kehna chahta."

Nawaz then refused to speak about the serious allegations levelled against his brother by his niece, Sasha Siddiqui. For the unversed, earlier this year, the actor's niece, Sasha Siddiqui had accused Nawaz's younger brother Minazuddin Siddiqui of sexually abusing her for years, since she was a child and how Nawaz had disregarded her claims as filmy.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui also spoke to the Hindustan Times about how he thinks the lockdown had come as a blessing in disguise as he got to spend a lot of time with his mother. He said, "Isme koi doubt nahi hai ki pandemic/lockdown bahut saare logon ke liye pareshaaniyan lekar aaya. And that's why so many people, in general, complains about it but I look at it as a sort of blessing in disguise. Earlier, where was the fursat to just sit, talk and enjoy such great time with your loved ones. The same holds true for me too because the lockdown has given me an opportunity to spend quality time with family, especially my mother. Mumbai mein toh din kahaan chala jaata hai pata nahi chalta, as you are always running around for meetings, and shoots etc." (Also Read: Vatsal Sheth Opens Up About His Wife, Ishita Dutta's Pregnancy Rumours, Reveals The Truth)

He also revealed that he spent most of his lockdown days in his village, Budhana (Uttar Pradesh) and Dehradun (Uttarakhand) with his younger brother. The actor was quoted as saying, "I have done farming (at his family-owned farmland), watched some great movies and also spent time with my nieces and nephews. Aur kya chahiye? It's surely been a very difficult time for everyone but aapke paas do hi options hain: either, you keep complaining, or try and look for some positives. I prefer the latter."

Speaking about the rift between Nawaz and his wife, in a video interview with Pinkvilla, the actor's estranged wife, Aaliya Siddiqui had made some serious allegations on him. Aaliya had revealed that she used to go to regular check-ups all alone by herself during her pregnancy days. She had said, "When I was pregnant, I had to drive all by myself for check-ups. My doctor used to tell me that I'm mad and I'm the first lady who has come alone for delivery. My labour pain started, and Nawaz and his parents were there." She had also added that her husband, Nawazuddin, was busy talking with other girls and had said, "But when I was in pain, my husband is not with me. He was talking to his girlfriend on calls. I knew everything because there used to be an itemised statement of phone bills." (Don't Miss: Janhvi Kapoor Becomes 'Spot Girl' For Sister, Khushi Kapoor, Shares BTS Pictures From Her Photoshoot)
