Ever since we have seen a glimpse of mini-Aryan Khan in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, the world has been eagerly waiting for his much-anticipated entry in Bollywood. And finally, we got the same in the teaser of The Lion King. Just a week to go for The Lion King to hit the theatres, Shah Rukh, who is voicing for Mufasa in the film’s Hindi version, shared its teaser on July 11, 2019, which had his son, Aryan’s voice for Simba. Shah Rukh tweeted along with the teaser, “Mera Simba.. #TheLionKing”.

Soon, mommy Gauri Khan too, gave her thumbs up for her son, Aryan Khan in the teaser of The Lion King as she couldn’t stop watching it on loop. Retweeting Shah Rukh Khan’s teaser post, Gauri wrote, “Watching this on repeat.” But it was also the comment of someone ‘special’ which had caught our attention. Aryan’s once rumoured girlfriend, Navya Naveli Nanda is all hearts for his voice as Simba, and we could easily relate to her reaction.
As soon as Shah Rukh Khan had shared a glimpse of Aryan Khan as Simba, B-town as well as the audience, have been sharing the clip and reacting to it positively. Aryan’s godfather, Karan Johar too, retweeted Shah Rukh’s post and wrote, "OMG!!! Aryan!!!!" with heart emojis. In another tweet, he had added, "Pardon my excitement! But Aryan is the first born in our family!!! And even just hearing his voice has made me so so excited!!!!! And without a bias he sounds amazing!!!!!" Deepika Padukone retweeted the teaser and wrote, "Love."
Aryan Khan has been receiving a lot of praises from the fans as well, and many believe that he sounds just like his father, Shah Rukh Khan. Soon after, Shah Rukh took to Twitter to echo the same sentiment and thank their fans for such heartwarming response. He tweeted, "Young Lions don’t tweet so on behalf of Simba #AryanKhan I want to thank u all for appreciating his effort. Being a superstar’s son, Shah Rukh Khan is quite often asked about Aryan Khan’s debut in films. Elaborating on the similar lines, Shah Rukh had once shared, “Aryan is studying to be a filmmaker and a writer, while Suhana wants to be an actor. In a 2018 interview with the Hindustan Times, Shah Rukh Khan spoke about Aryan Khan being launched by Karan Johar (especially after the latter shared that only he will launch Aryan). He had shared, “It’s very sweet of them [his industry friends], and they have the right. If Aryan decides to be an actor, it will only be an honour for him to work with directors of that calibre. But I think he wants to be a filmmaker. Aryan is studying to be a filmmaker and a writer, while Suhana wants to be an actor.”
Shah Rukh Khan had further added, “But even if he wants to be a filmmaker, he needs to study for another five to six years and not just the literal form of studying, but probably be an assistant to Karan after he finishes his film-making course. Aisa nahi hai ki tumhara baap actor hai toh set pe aake assistant director ban jaao. Similarly, Suhana should learn acting for another three to four years if she wants to be an actor. I know many of my industry friends feel my kids should start acting [in films] tomorrow. But it’s my belief that they shouldn’t start acting [in movies] yet.”
In a 2017 interaction with the DNA, Shah Rukh Khan had revealed how Aryan Khan wants to be bigger than his father. Shah Rukh had stated, “He talks about his ambitions, and where he would like to be one day. But he’s very clear that way. He just wants to be bigger than me and that’s cool.” Speaking about his chill session with Aryan, SRK had revealed, “When I am with Aryan sometimes, we just lay down in our shorts without our shirts and we crack some dirty jokes. He gets really excited telling me about gaalis he’s learnt. I’m from Delhi and I’ve also been that age and my vocabulary of Hindi gaalis is fantastic (smiles). So when he tells me one, I tell him that I’ll teach him another version of it. So that’s cool.”
A few years back, Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s son, Aryan Khan and Amitabh Bachchan’s granddaughter and Shweta Bachchan Nanda’s daughter, Navya Naveli Nanda were speculated to be involved in a romantic relationship. Aryan and Navya went to Sevenoaks School for high-school graduation in London and had shared a common group of friends. Hence, the speculations about these two starlets dating each other grabbed the headlines.
