A baby’s birth starts the speculation game in the family as to who the child looks like? It is obvious for a baby to take features from his parents, but to look exactly like them leads to wonderment. Nakuul Mehta and Jankee Parekh’s little one looks like an exact replica of his father. And while his fans are still amused over this fact, it looks like their son, Sufi Mehta is baffled too by it.
For the longest time after Sufi’s birth, Nakuul and Jankee had kept their little one away from the limelight, only giving partial glimpses of him. It was on September 3, 2021, when Sufi had turned seven months old, when the star parents had introduced him to the world, taking the internet by storm. His blonde hair, blue eyes and chubby pink cheeks had made everyone fall in love with him. The couple had captioned the video as:
"Hi, I am Sufi and I am 7 months old today. It’s so nice to finally meet you. P.S. Letting my folks share this on my behalf ‘cause I got cool things to do!"

A few hours back, Jankee Parekh Mehta shared a picture of Sufi with his dadi on her IG stories. In the picture, he was seen in his dadi’s arms, standing in front of the wall of frames and looking at his daddy’s picture in awe. Atop the picture, Jankee wrote, “@babysufim cannot believe that it’s his Dadda in the photo and not him.” Sharing Jankee’s story on his IG stories, Nakuul wrote:
“Doppelgangers.”
In October 2021, Nakuul Mehta’s son, Sufi had visited him on the sets of his audio show, Mine And Yours. Jankee Parekh had shared a series of pictures and videos, narrating Sufi’s visit to his daddy, Nakuul Mehta’s sets on her IG handle. In the long caption, she had described her baby boy’s experience and how he had made actor, Rithvik Dhanjani his friend on the sets. Her caption could be read as:
“Hi. This is Sufi. Today I went on my Daada’s set for the very first time. It was a surreal feeling as I have actually only heard about him going to shooting. When I went there, everyone was excited to see me and they called me cute.”

After Sufi’s face was revealed, their fans were awestruck, wondering who Nakuul and Jankee’s son resembles. Well, Sufi is an exact replica of his father, Nakuul, who had similar features when he was a kid. Nakuul’s IG handle is filled with his childhood pictures as he often shares photos from that time. The actor's uncanny resemblance with Sufi is unmissable.
In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Nakuul Mehta had talked about the surreal feeling of becoming a father and had expressed how overwhelming it had felt to be in the operation theatre and watch his child's birth. Nakuul Mehta had shared:
"It was overwhelming to be in the operation theatre (OT) besides my wife, and watch my child being born. I had heard it often enough, but nothing prepares you for that kind of rush. It’s surreal, deeply emotional and yet magical in so many ways. I’m not sure if the fact that I’m a father has sunk in completely yet. We're only a week into this, but I do feel infinite compassion and love for this new life and for everybody around me.”
For the unversed, Nakuul Mehta and Jankee Parekh Mehta had welcomed their son, Sufi Mehta on February 3, 2021.
