We love marriages and married couples. After all, there is no better feeling than to see a person get married to someone, whom they love to annoy for the rest of their life. No, really, it is like a walk in a park, uhmm, Jurrasic Park. No matter how much you feel that you cannot live with your 'better-half' but you still find millions of reasons to stay as together you are stronger, and you know it. Marriage also makes you do silly things together that you are not comfortable doing in the first place. And something similar happened with MS Dhoni's wife, Sakshi Dhoni. Before we take you further into the story, let us take a recap of Dhoni and Sakshi's love story. The long-haired man, Mahendra Singh Dhoni from Ranchi has made the entire world swoon when he had entered the Indian cricket. But his charm never worked on Sakshi. It took Dhoni a lot of effort and hard work to woo Sakshi and make her fall for him and on July 4, 2010, the duo had exchanged the wedding vows in the presence of their family. And now, they are living their 'happily ever after' with a gorgeous daughter, whom they have named Ziva.
Today, on December 16, 2019, Dhoni took to his Instagram handle and posted a throwback video from an advertisement shooting. In the video, we can see Dhoni teasing his wife, Sakshi's dialogue delivery skills. Making fun of her, Dhoni said, "Dekh ke padh nahi paa rahi ho, tum deliver kaise karogi." Alongside it, he wrote, "Blast from the past. When you turn the table and ask the director to deliver the dialogue especially when she keeps saying such an easy dialogue you should do it in one take. A couple of weeks ago, we had come across a cute video posted by one of Dhoni and Sakshi's mutual friend, Preeti Simoes on Instagram. In the video, we could see Dhoni singing a romantic song for Sakshi. Alongside it, she had written, "WARNING: PLS WATCH AT YOUR OWN RISK... The very talented Mr Mahi. @mahi7781 please don't kill me for posting this one! But this awaaz had to be shared! @sakshisingh_r yours coming soon!"
Coming back to their love story, MS Dhoni and Sakshi both hail from Ranchi and were in the same school and their fathers were working for the same company. And before Cupid could do his work, Sakshi's family got shifted to Dehradun. But as we say true love knows how to find its way and that's what happened. They met again after a decade in Kolkata at Taj Bengal (where Sakshi was doing her internship), during Team India's stay in November-December, 2007. Rest as we say, is history! In an interview with the Wisden magazine, Dhoni had shared that Sakshi holds third place in his life. He had said, "I love my country. I tell my wife she is only the third most important thing after my country and my parents, in that order. The point is that while I am an Indian cricketer I will devote myself to that cause. Cricket is not everything, not by any means, but it is a large part of who I am. Therefore, I want to play in all formats of the game and to play as much as possible because before long it will be over. Then I’ll focus more on the Army!"
He had further added, "Sakshi provides the spark I might sometimes need. Jokes aside, she is the person to whom I have a reference. She is both loving and inspirational. Sometimes she travels with me, but cricket is easier without having to ensure her safe passage. One day, we will see the sights together and she says that then, can she please move to number two on the list of my priorities! But for the moment I am here to play cricket.
