If there is one man in India who is an epitome of success, he is Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The former Indian cricket captain, who led the Indian team to win all the three ICC trophies (World T20 in 2007, ODI World Cup in 2011 and Champions Trophy in 2013), is a story of rags to riches, in every sense.
Being one of the highest earning athletes in the world, holding numerous brands under his name, being the Vice-President of India Cements Ltd and captain of the IPL team, Chennai Super Kings, we can expect, without a blink that his home would be dream home for anybody in this world. And guess what? We are here for you to explore MS Dhoni’s heavenly abode in Ranchi.
Even though he is a global star and he could have bought a home in any part of the world but his love for his hometown is unquestionable. The man who is responsible for the first International cricket stadium in Ranchi, was sure to have his first lavish home in the state capital itself. After gaining immense success in cricket, MS Dhoni got built his first bungalow in the Harmu area of Ranchi, Jharkhand.
Dhoni’s Harmu bungalow has seen it all- his scaling up to super-stardom and the famous 2011 cricket world cup win. Equipped with all the possible facilities, the bungalow boasts of an area as a big as 3 acres! Reportedly, the interior of this bungalow is a 3-story mansion with a private swimming pool. Thousands of people flock here every day to catch one glimpse of their megastar but unfortunately, MS Dhoni doesn’t live here anymore.
Yes, Dhoni, his wife, Sakshi and daughter, Ziva have now shifted to their farmhouse along with their three dogs in Ranchi itself but in a different location which is just a 20-min drive from his previous Harmu bungalow. Dhoni has named his farmhouse, Kailashpati. This mammoth area is a 7-acre property and it took 3 years to get completed.
Kailashpati boasts of swimming pools, an indoor stadium for various sports, park, private garden and many other luxuries. The well-watered green lawns seem endless at one point and the whole area has been protected with high walls and trees lining the campus from inside itself.
On July 07, 2016, on his 35th birthday, Dhoni took to social media and shared a pic in which he could be seen planting a 'special' tree inside his farmhouse. He captioned the above pic as:
"Planted this special tree on my birthday, KAILASHPATI also it's the the first plantation in our farm house".
Dhoni’s love for greenery is so evident in the pics that his wife, Sakshi regularly posts on her Instagram handle. Apart from the stunning beauty on the outside of his farmhouse, the house itself on the inside is filled with interior plants and it’s all green everywhere. The house has been built with wood and marble flooring and the Western touch along with the chandeliers hanging down, give a very relaxing vibe to the interiors.
Speaking of the interiors of Dhoni's farmhouse, the heavenly abode boasts of a private parking which is filled with nothing but bikes.
And we got to know of this on October 8, 2017, when Indian skipper, Virat Kohli and Dhoni's daughter, Ziva were indulged in a cute conversation and the video was uploaded by Virat himself. Take a look at the video:
Did you notice the bikes that are lined up behind? Undeniably, Dhoni's farmhouse is a high-end property with all the luxuries you can think of in this world.
We all know about Dhoni’s love for bikes and cars and obviously, he owns a lot of these vehicles. But did you know about Dhoni’s immense love for dogs? Yes, he himself owns four dogs- Sam, Lilly, Gabbar, and Zoya and take their utmost care. He has built his farmhouse in such a way that it’s totally dog-friendly. They all keep running in the grassy outdoors, playing with Dhoni and Ziva. Take a look at these pics and videos:
From a 2-room government quarter apartment to owning a lavish farmhouse of his own, Dhoni’s story is an incredible one. The biggest take away from his life is the fact that one can achieve anything with hard work and a never-give-up-attitude. And one day, you too can own your dream house and make it no less than a heaven.
