A day in a pregnant woman’s life is full of adventures. From mood swings to food cravings, from morning sickness to baby kicks, a woman goes through a lot, however, it is all worth it in the end. To see her baby, she is ready to go through every pain for nine months and she starts enjoying it. The pregnancy phase is sure one of the most adventurous phases of a woman’s life. After 10 years of a successful marriage, Mohit Malik and his wife, Aditi Shirwaikar Malik are expecting their first child. The pregger actress recorded one day of her pregnancy phase in a cute video. It was a few days back, when Aditi had shared her ‘first kick’ experience on her IG handle. She had shared a picture, where she could be seen wearing a black and white polka dot dress and kind of hugging herself, laughing. It had felt like she had just loved what she had experienced at that moment and indeed, she would have as in her caption she had shared her first kick experience. Sharing the cute picture, she had written, “LOVE AT FIRST KICK.”
For every expecting mother, her pregnancy phase is a fun ride and Aditi Shirwaikar Malik has recorded a day of her pregnancy phase. Taking to her IG handle, Aditi shared a video about how her day starts with mood swings and also recorded her food cravings and temptations. From craving for oranges to enjoying chocolates, Aditi recorded it all. Sharing how she is loving this phase, Aditi wrote, “Call it pregnancy cravings, pregnancy moods or whatever you would like but I am loving this phase! The phase to spoil myself, be happy and do whatever I wish....But yes believe me this is not what a day truly always looks like between the restaurants and work!”
In a conversation with The Times Of India, Aditi talked about how her husband, Mohit is preparing for the new phase of their life, i.e., parenthood. She shared that she feels her husband is going to be better than her when it comes to parenting. In her words, “I somehow feel that Mohit is going to be way better than me because he is preparing for it in full swing. He is reading books and he keeps telling me things. So yes, it is going to be a lot of fun as it would be a new adventure for us!"
Aditi also shared how 2020 was a nightmare and what all her family had to go through. She shared, “The year 2020 was quite a stressful time for my family. A day right before the lockdown, my father had to undergo emergency surgery followed by going in and out of hospitals. Mohit also had begun shooting during the peak of the lockdown, just about the same time I got my pregnancy news. That was a ray of light after some really dark days. Then when Mohit tested positive, it felt like we were struck by lightning. I was travelling with him, sitting right beside him and to contract the virus during my pregnancy was the last thing that could have gone wrong. After he took the test, we immediately isolated ourselves in separate rooms.”
Aditi also talked about her husband, Mohit's contraction with COVID-19 and said, “I didn't sleep for 14 days straight. It was like I was right there trying to identify any symptom. But I was safe. We were on a spiritual high, we were both meditating, reciting mantras, we were praying and that is how we sailed through. The virus does play on your mind but meditation helped me control my mind.”
