If medical practitioners at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) are to be believed, then by the end of 2020, about 67 crore Indians that is almost half of the country’s population is estimated to be infected by the virus. With the relaxation in lockdown and news rules to be implemented in ‘Unlock 1’, the need of staying at home as a precautionary measure has become paramount. With each passing day, the number of cases has been increasing and the pandemic has brought in the new normal for everyone. Gone are days when the airport, gym or party looks were looked for on social media, as now, the new normal is all about masked faces and essential shopping looks. A few days back, choreographer-cum-dancer-turned-actress and real-life princess, Mohena Kumari Singh had posted a picture with her husband, Suyesh Rawat, redefining fashion in the most practical way. Wearing protective shields, Mohena had captioned their selfie as “Grocery shopping wear #thenewnormal.”
A few hours back, it was reported that Uttarakhand minister, Satpal Maharaj has been tested positive after his wife, Amrita Rawat on May 31, 2020, and was quarantined. Not just the couple, but their family members, including their son, Suyesh Rawat and daughter-in-law, Mohena Kumari Singh have also been tested positive. Confirming the reports to SpotboyE, Mohena elaborated on the same, “Right now we are in the hospital. The news is true, my family and I have tested positive.”
Not only Satpal Maharaj, Amrita Rawat, Mohena Kumari Singh and Suyesh Rawat but their staffs and other family members have also been tested positive. Revealing details on the same, Mohena continued, “So, a lot of people stay with us. Not in the house but we have a quarters sort of thing. We are 7 family members who have been affected and rest all are people from a sanstha. They are also affected but nobody has any kind of major symptom. In fact, none of us have any major symptoms and I think that's why it spread so much and we didn't come to know about it. Kisiko pata hi nahi chala and ghar hi ghar mein fail gaya. When asked how she is feeling, Mohena Kumari Singh, being grateful, said, “We all are safe and I am thankful that we are lucky enough to have the facilities. So, we can't complain about anything. There are people who are suffering because they are infected but have no means of hospitalisation or beds available to be admitted.” Ending on a positive note, Mohena concluded, “I am positive that we all will be fine soon.”
It was on May 27, 2020, when Mohena Kumari Singh’s parents, Maharaja Pushpraj Singh and Maharani Ragini Singh had completed 36 years of their happy married life. And to mark the occasion, Mohena had wished her parents on their marriage anniversary via a video call and had posted a screenshot of the same on her IG handle. Mohena had captioned her post as “Happy 36th Anniversary Mumma & Papa. @maharaja_rewa.”
Mohena Kumari Singh of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai fame, hails from the royal family of Rewa and is a princess in real life. When Mohena and Suyesh had completed three months of blissful married life on January 14, 2020, the former had treated her fans with a picture-perfect family portrait with her clan, in-laws and husband. Mohena had emphasised on the importance of family in her caption, which could be read as “In today’s day and age people are losing the importance and respect for family. When Mohena Kumari Singh had tied the knot with Suyesh Rawat in October 2019, her fans had wanted to know how the ‘Mrs’ life was treating her. In an interview with The Times Of India, Mohena had opened up about her married life with Suyesh and had revealed how she was enjoying her daily routine post-wedding in Dehradun. She had stated, “It’s so refreshing to let new things happen. I am dressing up, eating a lot of food and doing pujas. The food in my new home in Dehradun is just amazing. My in-laws eat good homemade spicy food. And I have been eating a lot spicier and yummier food at my new abode, meeting new family members, relatives and friends.
