And with every picture, it is proved that Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput Kapoor’s baby girl, Misha Kapoor is her ‘daddy’s little girl’. From beginning his career as a chocolate boy to becoming a hands-on father in real-life, Shahid Kapoor’s transition has been a remarkable one. In 2015, Shahid broke millions of hearts when he had announced his marriage with a non-industry Delhi based girl, Mira Rajput. Soon, the lovebirds welcomed a little angel in their lives, Misha Kapoor, and since then, there hasn’t been any interview where Shahid couldn’t stop gushing over his princess. Every time Shahid and Misha are spotted together, be it supermarket or airport, the little one can be seen cuddled in her daddy’s arms.
And July 20, 2019, is no different! Shahid Kapoor and Misha Kapoor headed out for some grocery shopping at Foodhall, Khar, Mumbai. Dressed in a striped red and white t-shirt with red shorts and sports shoes, Misha could be seen cuddled in Shahid’s arms, who looked dapper in a mustard sweatshirt and black lowers. Misha couldn’t let go off her daddy, Shahid and we love such cuddly pictures of this father-daughter duo.
In the December 2017 issue of GQ India, Shahid Kapoor had spoken about his real-life role as a doting father to daughter, Misha Kapoor. Sharing how daughters are special, Shahid had said, “It’s special; I don’t think anyone else can make you feel like a daughter can. I don’t know how long it lasts, how it changes and evolves. But I often catch the expression on other women’s faces when I’m with my daughter, and I can feel they’re seeing themselves with their fathers. Shahid Kapoor had continued, “There are times when I think, I’m doing all this, but she won’t remember this. Later, she might wonder why I’m so involved in her life, without understanding that she’s so much a part of my reality… I don’t know, in general, even as babies, I think girls are better than boys. They seem more sensible, more sorted. They’re not as cranky or dumb.”
Elaborating on his protective side, Shahid Kapoor was quoted as saying, “I worry about the future much more. Of course, this is because I know my daughter’s growing up in this atmosphere. I want to protect her. But I do think that the times to come are going to be more about women than men. Change is coming — and it’s already palpable.”
Right after the birth of Misha Kapoor, in August 2016, Shahid Kapoor had shared how he had felt upon holding his baby daughter in his arms for the first time. Speaking about the same, he had revealed, “I was both ecstatic and scared. I began thinking of Mira's father and how he must have felt when he gave away his baby, his daughter to this strange guy, an actor from Mumbai with a ponytail and coloured hair, who perhaps thought he was a 'cool dude'. I called him up instantly and apologised if I had troubled him at any point. I may have overlooked his point of view somewhere, regarding something which may have been important to him, this realisation came when I held a baby girl in my hands when I felt vulnerable. I don't want anything to go wrong with her ever. I guess, being a man I always thought of as a man. But holding a baby girl gave me a new perspective. It changes everything."
Seems like it was just yesterday when Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput Kapoor had announced the arrival of Misha Kapoor. And now when we see her pictures, we couldn’t get over how fast she is growing up. Similar is the feelings of her parents, Mira and Shahid too, as sometime back, the mommy of two had shared Misha’s picture of how her not-so-little-one-anymore doesn’t fit into her camera frame! Expressing her disbelief over how quickly her daughter has grown up that she no longer fits into her camera frame, Mira had captioned Misha’s ‘graduation day’ photo as, “My big little girl. Clicking you in the same spot since the start and suddenly you don’t fit in my frame! How did you grow up so fast.. My darling. Naughty and kind. God blessed us. #mysweetheart”.
