On April 21, 2018, Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput Kapoor took to their respective Instagram profiles to share the news of Mira’s second pregnancy. They shared the pic of their first baby, Misha who could be seen lying down alongside balloons with the words ‘Big Sister’ chalked out nearby.
And the next day, Shahid confirmed the news and elatedly expressed, “Yes, of course. I'm very happy. We just felt like sharing it with everybody. Mira said she wanted to put it out on Instagram and I thought the photograph was really cute. It was a spontaneous decision and it just happened”.
And now, we all know how tough pregnancy is for a mother. With spontaneous mood swings, intense craving for something and intense irritation with the other, a check on the diet, everything becomes difficult and each day is a battle. Something similar is happening with Mira these days. Mira, who is in her second trimester, shared an Instagram story which states, “That weird phase when your jeans don’t fit but your maternity jeans are too big”. Well, this is but one major problem during pregnancy for every mommy-to-be. Her favourite clothes don’t fit anymore. And in fact, apart from clothing, they can’t even satiate themselves with whatever they feel like eating.

In fact, just yesterday, Mira was caught by the paparazzi when she went out on a romantic dinner with hubby Shahid. Her now-prominent baby bump became the talk of the media instantly as soon as the pictures surfaced online. Take a look:
Pregnancy is tough, there is no doubt in it. Sometimes people believe that it’s easy the second time but that’s not true. Speaking of which, Mira once shared how it was during her first pregnancy and post delivering Misha, “I had a tough pregnancy, I went to those 5 months of difficult times to bring my daughter in to this world, in fact both of us together (Shahid Kapoor and she). So now I want to spend every moment that I can with her and I think there is a set of responsibilities around my plate and I feel at my age I have a lot more energy, I have my future ahead of me, so I can finish all of my responsibility and I have nothing in my way. I can raise my daughter, I can be a good wife. Nothing will stop me after that. I love being at home, I love being a mother to my child, I wouldn’t want to spend one hour a day with my child and rush off to work, why did I have her? In an interview recently, Mira was asked about starting her career, and in answering the question she let slip about her second pregnancy, “Yes, I would love to work, especially in a field that is creatively stimulating, but also allows me time with family. Perhaps something with food or lifestyle. I do not have a deadline as I am going to have another baby and then decide”.
Well, more power and strength to Mira during her second pregnancy, and we are hoping to hear the arrival of her and Shahid’s second child soon.
