Though Mira has been vocal about many other topics but hardly has she spoken about her wedding with Shahid. He, on the other hand, has been talking about it on and off. In an interview with Bombay Times, Shahid disclosed one interesting condition that Mira laid down before marrying him. The Batti Gul Meter Chalu actor was quoted as saying, “The only condition she laid down for me was that when we get married, I will not have coloured hair. She made me promise that when we marry, I would sport my normal hair colour. She warned me not wear my hair red on our marriage day. When I married her a month later, I made sure I behaved myself and looked like a decent groom”.
In an interview with Filmfare, Shahid had once stated, “She has changed my life completely. She has turned me into a domestic animal. Earlier, I used to be a wild animal running around in the open fields. Sharing that his family is his first priority, he stated, “I am hardly working. I guess the first thing that happened to me was going jobless. When you are single, there are so many things that you can do. I was living alone for more than 10 years. So, everything was possible.
