Popular singer, Mika Singh and his television show, Swayamvar Mika Di Vohti's winner, Akanksha Puri have been hitting the headlines for quite some time now, since their reality show. The show was focused on selecting a perfect bride for Mika and had begun with 14 contestants from different states. However, in the middle of the show, Mika’s alleged ex-girlfriend, Akanksha Puri made a wild card entry. And by the end of the show, Mika chose her over the other participants, which shocked the entire nation.
It was on July 26, 2022, when Akanksha had taken to her IG handle and posted drool-worthy pictures with Mika Singh and confirmed the news of winning the show. In the pictures, the actress-cum-model stunned in a baby pink bridal attire. On the other hand, Mika donned a black bandhgala with matching pants. The duo looked picture-perfect while they posed for the camera. Sharing them, she had written:
“Here’s to our New Beginnings @mikasingh.”

Now, as Akanksha Puri turned a year older and her beau, Mika Singh celebrated her birthday in a grand way. Taking to her IG handles, she gave a glimpse at her stunning yellow thigh-slit dress and mushy moments from the same. Earlier, on July 25, 2022, Mika Singh and Akanksha Puri had made their first public appearance. While Mike donned a blue shirt paired with a black coat, Akanksha opted for a pink dress and looked cute together as a couple. However, a section of social media users trolled them for their mismatched chemistry and even called the show scripted. Check out the comments:

In an interview with ETimes, Akanksha Puri had also reacted to the trolls who called the show scripted. Revealing how she never dated Mika Singh and her entry as a wild card was also not planned, Akanksha had said:
“My entry in the show was not planned. In fact, he was surprised when he saw me as a wild card contestant. Mika and I have been friends, but we haven’t dated or romanced each other. Marriage is a big decision, so one has to think a lot before taking the plunge. You can’t get married just after completing some tasks on a show.”
