Malaika Arora was earlier married to superstar, Salman Khan's brother, Arbaaz Khan. Amidst her divorce, Malaika and Arjun had tried to shush their dating rumours for the longest time. Later, Malaika had made her relationship official on Arjun Kapoor's birthday in 2019 with a mushy post.

Malaika had taken to her IG handle and had posted a picture with the man of her life, Arjun and had captioned it as “Happy birthday my crazy, insanely funny and amazing @arjunkapoor love and happiness always". Since then, the couple has been sharing mushy posts, and their fans adore their social media PDAs.
On the occasion of Holi 2021, Malaika Arora shared pictures from her mini-vacation with her boyfriend, Arjun Kapoor. The actress shared some vibrant pictures of herself in a multicoloured dress and looked beautiful as ever. Apart from that, she also posted a picture of her beau, Arjun Kapoor busy with his fitness regime. However, she deleted Arjun's picture later.
On January 12, 2021, Arjun had taken to his Instagram handle and had shared a picture in which, we can see him lost in his thoughts. The picture was a lot more special as it was clicked by his lady love, Malaika. Along with the picture, he had written, "Dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight. Clicked By her." On January 1, 2021, Malaika had taken to her Instagram handle and had posted a lovely picture with her beau, Arjun. In the picture, we could see the duo looking adorable as they had posed for the camera. Alongside it, Malaika had written, "It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day, it’s the new year 2021 #eternallygrateful."

In an interview with The Times of India, Malaika had opened up on her marriage plans with Arjun and had said that first, she is planning to expand her business. Malaika wants to grow it bigger and better. She had shared that 2019 was good on the professional and personal front as she was recognised as a businesswoman and as a brand. But as far as marriage is concerned, these things cannot be predicted. Malaika had further added that they are planning to go one step at a time. They have been honest about where they are standing right now and will talk about it when things will move forward.
In another interview with Zoom TV, Malaika had talked about the same. She had shared whether she is happy or not and had said "I think happiness is a state of mind and yes, why to go into histrionics. Yes, I am happy, why have so much explanation, yes I am happy. In the business (showbiz), everybody is at the receiving end of all of this (speculations about marriage). No one is spared of these kinds of conjectures so to speak. Like we have said, there’s no marriage on the cards right now."
