Paras Chhabra had entered the 13th season of the popular reality show, Bigg Boss with a tag of ‘Sanskari Playboy’ and had garnered lots of fans and haters at the same time. Paras had shot to fame in 2012 when he had won a reality show, Splitsvilla 5 with Akanksha Popli. It was years after that when Paras had started dating Akanksha Puri and their relationship got as much hype as Paras’ chemistry with Mahira in Bigg Boss 13. It was said that Paras’ closeness with his alleged girlfriend, Mahira Sharma was the reason behind his breakup with long-term ladylove, Akanksha Puri. From wearing his heart on his sleeves for co-contestant, Shehnaaz Gill in the initial days of the show, to ending up with Mahira Sharma, Paras had proved his title of ‘Sanskari Playboy’ is apt for him. However, it was Mahira Sharma, who was throughout her journey heard saying that ‘we are good friends’ and asking Paras to maintain a little distance. Ever since then, the two have been in news for their relationship and all the ‘Pahira’ fans are always curious to know more about them.
In a conversation with The Times of India, Mahira Sharma was asked about Paras’ recent statement about waiting for things to happen organically. She replied, “Paras and I are busy with our respective work. We are best of friends, great colleagues and understand each other really well. This is the time to focus on work, and that’s exactly what I am doing. I am a workaholic; I want to explore the right kind of opportunities, and entertain people with good work.”
For the uninitiated, in an interview with ETimes, Paras Chhabra had hinted towards the possibilities of taking a plunge from their ‘just friends’ stance. He had said, “We met a couple of times during the lockdown. Acchi feeling aati hai Mahira se mil kar and we share a beautiful bond. I don’t want to go down the regular route of proposing to her. I want everything to happen organically.”
Paras had also confirmed that as of now, Mahira is his good friend and had added, “Naturally feelings generate ho and automatically relationship shuru ho jaaye. She is a very good friend as of now. Mahira and I like each other a lot, but abhi relationship tak nahi pahunche hai. Paras had also revealed that the creative team of his last show, Mujhse Shadi Karoge had gone to Mahira as well and how close she was from joining the show. He had revealed, “The creative team approached me for ‘MSK’ during ‘Bigg Boss’ with a view to get me married on screen. They asked me about my equation with Mahira and I told them that I like her. They approached her, too, and she was all set to participate. However, the deal fell through.
