For the first time, Indian actor, Mahesh Babu was seen getting emotional remembering the birth of his firstborn son, Gautham. The actor, who is known for his acting skills, opened up about his son's premature birth during a talk show. For the unversed, Mahesh Babu is happily married to Namrata Shirodkar. The couple had met each other on the sets of their first Telegu film, Vamsi, and rest, as we all know, is history.
Namrata and Mahesh had tied the knot in the year, 2005. During a media interaction, Mahesh had revealed an interesting anecdote of their wedding and had shared that he was shooting the whole night for his film, Athadu, just before his wedding. After finishing the entire shoot, he had directly flown to the venue for his marriage.

Recently, Mahesh Babu appeared on the Telugu talk show, Unstoppable. The actor recalled how his first child, Gautham, was born six weeks before as a premature baby. He revealed that he was as big as his palm when he had held him for the first time. The actor shared:
"Gautham (Mahesh’s son) was born six weeks before as a premature baby. When I first held him, he was just as big as my palm. Now, Gautham is almost 6 ft tall. We had the money so we could take care of Gautham but what about those who couldn’t afford. I always wanted to do something for children. That’s how this thought of working with children was born."

In the same show, Mahesh also talked about his kids and revealed that his son, Gautham is like a cat. But, on the other hand, his daughter, Sitara, is a brat.
Once in an interview with the Deccan Chronicle, Namrata had shared her views on being called the force behind her husband, Mahesh's amazing career. She had said:
"You know, people believe Mahesh does what I ask him to. That's not true. He may look shy and gentle, but, he knows his mind. All his career decisions are taken by him, although he does share the plot and script idea with me casually. Yes, if he dresses differently from the other actors in Andhra Pradesh, I could have influenced his sartorial choices."
After this incident, Mahesh Babu had sponsored 1,000 heart surgeries for needy children.
