Barkha Bisht and Inderaneil Sengupta are two good looking people on Indian television. First look at this couple, and you will say that they are made for each other. You will start theorising that these two must have had a passionate love story, since the beginning of their time together.

Indraneil and Barkha greeted each other for the first time on the sets of their telly show, Pyaar Ke Do Naam; Ek Radha Ek Shyam. It was a very formal meeting and as one would think, there were no sparks flying when these two good-looking people saw each other for the first time.
Barkha admits:
"I don’t know how we started dating. It’s still a mystery to me. We both were so different. I am the jovial and social kind and he is just the opposite. He is the reserved and quiet type. We just got along with each other well during the show and there was nothing romantic about it."
So, these two, totally opposite people became good friends. They did not fall in love with each other instantly. But as they say, “It will happen if it is supposed to happen”. They were destined to fall in love and so they did.

Barkha recalls how it happened:
"However, the age old funda of ‘opposites attract’ worked for us. I guess somewhere down the line, both of us are so ‘opposite’ to each other that we did fall for each other. When the show got over and we stopped meeting, it hit us that we need each other. We called each other up again and went for coffee; and then for lunches and dinners, countless times. I guess we were in courtship without even being conscious of it."
Knowingly or unknowingly, they fell in love with each other and never came out of it!

After a long courtship period, they decided to take their relationship to the next level by committing to each other completely. It was the shy Inderaneil who proposed to Barkha in a totally filmi style.
As Barkha recalls:
"He went down on his knees to propose to me with a ring. And, I was obviously more than happy to accept it."

On March 1, 2008, their wedding took place in Uttar Pradesh and it was a quiet family affair. They celebrated their wedding with their friends on March 30, 2008. The reception party took place at Yari Road, Andheri where their close friends from the industry like Urvashi Dholakia, Narayani Shastri, Vikram Bhatt, Tabassum, Yash and Gauri Tonk, Vikas Sethi, Manav Gohil and Shweta Kawatra were present.

Barkha gushed about the transformation in her husband post-marriage, in a candid moment:
"I think he has become more romantic after marriage. He has undergone a complete change and now his sole aim is to keep me happy. It’s been a joyride for us."

This happily married couple was bestowed with a baby girl in October 2011. They named her Meira which means the bringer of light. Indraneil, who was not fond of kids earlier, is now very protective and loving towards their daughter.

They are planning to bring her up in an unprotected environment so that she can grow up to be a strong child.
Barkha who strongly asserts that their daughter will not take up acting as a career, shared her four-year-old daughter’s routine:
"Even though Meira's school starts at 9.30 am, she gets up early in the morning and I have to get up before her so that I can get her ready for school in time and also play with her, to check what's happening in her notebooks etc. The whole day I am not with her. And sometimes if I feel the need, I call her to the sets of my serial too, though I don't encourage this trend."
