Popular actor, Kunal Kemmu is known for his stellar performances in many movies like Golmaal, Dhol, Lootcase, Malang to name a few. Most of his characters have resonated well and have struck the right chord with his viewers. From light comedy to negative roles, Kunal has shown his growth as an actor with every project. Apart from his spectacular acting career, he is also known as the son-in-law of the Pataudi family. In a recent interview, Kunal revealed how he was awestruck after meeting his in-laws, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sharmila Tagore.
Kunal Kemmu had become a part of the royal family when the beautiful princess of the nawabi gharana, Soha Ali Khan had tied the knot with her then-beau and actor, Kunal Kemmu on January 25, 2015. As planned by the couple, the wedding was a low-key affair that had taken place at their Khar residence in Mumbai in the presence of a registrar and their family.

In a conversation with The Indian Express, Kunal Kemmu recalled how he felt ‘different’ after meeting with the legendary actor and his mother-in-law, Sharmila Tagore and brother-in-law, Saif Ali Khan and his wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan for the first time. Of course, it was pretty normal for a layman and a shy person like Kunal to get star struck. But, the Lootcase actor revealed that initially, he was in awe of their personalities. He further referred to it as a ‘different’ feeling of having to know the legendary actors in real life. In his words:
“It was so different, even for me. We only see actors as actors. It is very tough for us to completely understand that behind the actor, there is a person as normal as you and me. Even for me, a legend like Sharmila Tagore or superstars like Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan were actors. So, when I met them for the first time, I was also from the same mindset. Once you know them as people, they are just normal. Connections become more with the person. But having said that, it’s been lovely to know them as people. They are great to know.”
In the same interview, when Kunal was asked if he discussed acting with Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kunal Kemmu revealed that they generally talk about life, and added that acting is the last thing they would discuss. He was also asked if he takes suggestions from his wife, Soha Ali Khan while selecting scripts. To which, Kunal said that their professional lives are quite independent and they do not force opinions on one another. Elaborating on the same, Kunal shared:
“Our professional lives are different and completely independent, but when I am excited about a project, I tell her about it. I like to know her thoughts on it. But it goes without saying that never have we ever tried to force our opinions on each other.”

For the unversed, the much-in-love couple, Kunal Kemmu and Soha Ali Khan had embraced parenthood on September 29, 2017, when they had welcomed an adorable baby girl into their lives. They had lovingly named her Inaaya Naumi Kemmu. Talking about his daughter, Kunal said she does not understand acting and cinema yet. The doting father recalled Inaaya’s surprising reaction when she had seen Abhay 2’s poster outside her house. Kunal can be quoted as saying:
“I don’t know how much she understands the jobs but she knows we are actors. She has visited our sets a couple of times and tried to understand why we are looking a certain way. I remember once she could see Abhay 2’s poster from our house. She was very excited to see me on it. I remember Soha telling me that she asked, See papa’s photo, but why is it in such a big place? She also asked why I looked so angry in it. So, Soha made her understand, Because he is playing a policeman and fights bad people.”
