One love story which started with a one-night stand and ended up in marriage. With their own roller coaster journey of love, Kashmera Shah and Krushna Abhishek make us believe in the power of love. After dating for nine years, they tied the knot secretly in Las Vegas in June 2013. And after 4 years of blissful married life, the couple welcomed twins into their little world in June 2017.
Krushna and Kashmera’s twins were born via surrogacy and the little munchkins stayed in the neo-natal care before the couple took them home. The elated father Krushna got candid in an interview with SpotboyE.com and talked about his twins, parenthood and how life has changed him and Kashmera. When asked about if he is enjoying fatherhood, he expressed, “Completely! Can't tell you the joy I get when I see them smile. I keep travelling due to work so don’t get to spend as much time as I want with them, but all my free time is for the twins.”
Reminiscing about how time flies so fast and his twins turned 10-months-old, Krushna remarked, “They are 10 months old. How time flies. Seems like yesterday when Kashmera and I got them home.” Revealing his twins’ names, Krushna said, “Krishank and Raayan. Kashmera suggested Raayan; it means -- Warrior. I picked Krishank -- it is derived by my name but it’s one of the names for Lord Shiva.” Since all their fans are excited to see their babies, Krushna revealed when he will be introducing them to the world. He stated, “Very soon. They will turn a year old in two months. I want their introduction to be grand. You know how my shows are, right? That way. We will host a grand party for the industry and media to introduce the twins.”
On being asked why they kept their parenthood news under the wraps, he retorted, “We were contemplating having babies. Both of us wanted to be parents but there were days when we told each other that we should extend our family later, then there were times when we thought about starting it immediately since I was 35 and wanted my baby to be old enough by the time I am old. This made us keep everything under wraps.” Among the two, who was keener to become a parent, Krushna said, “Both of us were keen but I think I was slightly more inclined. I am glad she supported me in the decision.”
He also talked about how Kashmera changed after becoming a mother and was quoted as saying, “I can’t tell you to what extent. Now, her whole day is for them. She doesn’t keep calling me when I step out for work. I would add, if a husband needs space from the wife, make babies (laughs).” And how the arrival of his twins has changed him, he said, “I've become more responsible. I've never been an actor who relies on his producers. I've always been in such a position that I can walk off anytime. I never had the fear of a show not working or being ousted from it. But after having kids, I get that feeling. I'm no longer as carefree; there is a fear that keeps me in check.”
