Actress, talk show host and member of Bharatiya Janata Party, Kirron Kher is a popular name in the entertainment and political world. It was in May 2014, when Kirron was elected to the Lok Sabha from Chandigarh. As per the latest reports, Kirron is suffering from blood cancer and has been undergoing treatment in Mumbai. It was during the outbreak of the COVID 19 pandemic when her absence from the constituency was widely discussed. The Congress had accused Kher of ignoring her constituency.

Kirron Kher has done some tremendous work in Bollywood and her performances in movies like Devdaas, Fanaa, Rang De Basanti, and Dostana were hugely appreciated. The 68-year-old actress-turned politician is married to actor, Anupam Kher and has a son, Sikander Kher from her previous marriage. The news of Kirron suffering from cancer has been quite shocking for all her fans. Her husband, Anupam Kher has announced the same a few minutes back.
On April 1, 2021, Chandigarh BJP president, Arun Sood has conveyed the news of Kirron’s cancer in a press conference. Revealing details about Kirron’s health, he said, "She had suffered a broken left arm at her Chandigarh house on November 11 last year. After her medical tests at Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) in Chandigarh, she was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. The disease had spread to her left arm and right shoulder. For treatment she had to go to Mumbai on December 4.”
He further revealed that Kirron is recovering after her treatment but has to go for regular check-ups. In his words, “Even though she is recovering after her four-month treatment and no longer admitted at Kokilaben Hospital, Mumbai, she has to visit the hospital regularly for treatment.”

A few minutes back, Anupam Kher confirmed that his wife, Kirron Kher is suffering from blood cancer. The actor took to his IG handle and wrote, “Just so that rumours don’t get the better of a situation. Sikandar and I would like to inform everyone that Kirron has been diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer. She is currently undergoing treatment and we are sure she will come out of this stronger than before. We are blessed that she is being looked after by a phenomenal set of doctors. She’s always been a fighter and takes things head on. She’s all heart and that’s why she has so many people that love her. So keep sending your love to her in your prayers and in your heart. She is well on her way to recovery and we thank everyone for their support and love. Anupam and Sikandar.”
On August 26, 2020, the couple had completed 35 years of marital bliss and Anupam Kher had penned a heartmelting wish for Kirron Kher. Sharing a monochrome picture with her, Anupam ji had written, “Dearest #Kirron!! Happy 35th Anniversary. We have known each other for almost 45years. It is almost a life time. We have grown up together as two strong individuals. We don’t get to spend much time together. You are busy being a parliamentarian and I am busy being an actor. But I am and will always be there for you. You are a great girl. Stay safe. Love and prayers always! Saal girah mubarak. @kirronkhermp #MarriageAnniversary.”
