Kiara Advani Ditches 'Sindoor', Gets Bashed By A Woman For Not Dressing Up As Newly-Wed Bride

Kiara Advani's post-wedding look is receiving major backlash. The actress, who got married to Sidharth Malhotra, has been giving a pass to mangalsutra, sindoor and tadak-bhadak outfits a pass. While many are lauding her for redefining the post-wedding bridal looks, few didn't like her style. In fact, a woman tried to bash Kiara for not dressing up like a newly-wed bride at weddings and public places.

Kiara Advani got trolled for not dressing up like a sanskari bahu

Recently, a woman on Twitter called out Kiara Advani for not dressing up a sanskari bahu. It all started after Kiara was spotted at the airport, donning ripped baggy jeans, a white tee and a scarf wrapped around her neck. A Twitter user didn't like the fact that she ditched sindoor bhari maang and bashed her for not looking like a nayi dulhan.

In the now-deleted tweet, a woman took a screenshot of Kiara's attire from a video and called her out for blindly following fashion and not dressing up like a newly-wed bride. She wrote:

"What compels a new-wed bride to dress like this? Blindly following fashion."

The moment got bashed by famous editor and writer, Rituparna Chatterjee. She was irked by the woman's regressive thoughts. She took a screengrab and addressed the problematic tweet and wrote, "Comfort."

Soon a lot of Twitterati noticed the tweet and supported Rituparna and bashed the lady for her thoughts. One user wrote, "What does she wants her to wear at the airport, her wedding trousseau." Another commented, "Why can't people just mind their own business? Why do they have to comment on women's clothes all the time?"

Well, we totally agree with Rituparna, it is not necessary to don sindoor and mangalsutra to look like a newly-married bride!
