Whenever a girl gets married, it is mostly expected that her wedding expenses would be incurred by her parents. Gone are the days when a girl had to depend on her parents to fulfil her desires at her own wedding. Such is the thing with Bollywood actress, Katrina Kaif, who is breaking the stereotypes by bearing a major portion of her wedding expenses and is reducing her groom-to-be, Vicky Kaushal's burden to an extent.
For the unversed, Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal will be getting married on December 9, 2021, at Six Senses Fort, Barwara in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan. If reports are to be believed, the duo will have their wedding in two ways. While at first, they will be tying the knot according to the Hindu customs and traditions, their Hindu wedding would be followed by a white wedding. Therefore, this proves that the duo believes in maintaining equality in everything they do.

In an interaction with BollywoodLife.com, a source close to the development informed that for her wedding with Vicky Kaushal, Katrina Kaif is bearing 75 per cent of the expenses, including the travel costs of all the guests, security arrangements and other miscellaneous costs. The aide even revealed that the wedding venue at the Six Senses Fort Barwara has been given to Katrina and Vicky free of cost as the proprietors are keen on the publicity that will flow from such a high-profile marriage for the years to come.
Going further in the interaction, the source informed the portal that Vicky Kaushal is bearing 25 per cent of the expenses for the wedding. Therefore, as Katrina is taking up the responsibility of incurring a major portion of the marriage costs, she is taking the final decision in most of the important shots, such as the decision to bar media coverage at the venue totally, get the guests to sign NDAs, make an entry via security codes mandatory and confiscate mobile phones among other strict protocols.

A few days back, a report in ETimes had spilt the beans about Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal's mehendi ceremony that was held on December 8, 2021. A source close to the lovebirds had informed that the couple will celebrate the beautiful pre-wedding ceremony together with their respective families and relatives. The aide had further shed some light on the groom-to-be's family's excitement to welcome their to-be-bahu, Katrina Kaif, into their Punjabi parivaar. The source was quoted as saying:
"Katrina and Vicky will celebrate the mehendi ceremony with both sides of the family. Vicky has a big, loving and warm Punjabi family on his side, and his chacha, chachi, mama, mami are all looking forward to officially welcome Katrina into the family."
As per the source, both the families are extremely joyful in nature, and hence, they all are having one of the best times of their lives at Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif's wedding. Further in the revelation, the source had also added that although it's an intimate wedding ceremony, an enormous amount of money is being splashed at their wedding, as everything about it is grand and majestic in nature. Sharing details about Vicky and Katrina's royal wedding, the source had added:
"It's going to be a joyous occasion for both sides with both their friends and family getting together to celebrate the couple's special day! While it's going to be a private, intimate affair, the celebrations are still going to be grand. They have spared no expense to ensure that they make their special day a memorable one!"
