Whenever we listen to the song, Saara jag chad ke bas tenu hi hai chuneya, from the movie Manmarziyaan, all we think of is the tall, dark and handsome actor, Vicky Kaushal. The new chocolate boy on the block has proven his versatile acting skills with an array of successful films in his kitty. With his film, Masaan, Vicky Kaushal had become the favourite among the critics’ and with the blockbuster hit, Uri: The Surgical Strike, he is counted among the top notched actors of Bollywood. On his personal front, Vicky had been in a steady relationship with actress, Harleen Sethi, but post his break-up, he has been linked with many B-town divas, one of the prominent being Katrina Kaif.
There have been speculations of Vicky Kaushal dating Katrina Kaif from quite a while but none of them has confirmed the same. But their constant appearances together have only given fodder to the gossip columns. From attending Diwali bash to being clicked at Ali Abbas Zafar’s birthday party, the two has been spotted together many times. On January 23, 2020, Katrina turned up for the screening of Vicky’s brother, Sunny Kaushal’s upcoming web series, The Forgotten Army. She kept her look casual and donned a blue denim jumpsuit and teamed it up with beige coloured heels. She looked gorgeous as she posed for the shutterbugs.
A couple of months ago, Katrina had opened up on her dating rumours with Vicky in an interview with SpotboyE. She had stated, "It doesn't even matter. These rumours are part and parcel of our life. Now I have that maturity to understand all that matters is the work that you do. That's what will make you sustain, that's what the audience loves you for or judge you on. All the rest just comes and goes as these are part of the job. We chose to come into the spotlight. There are a lot of people who hate to come into the spotlight. But that is the nature of being an actor, you have to accept and make peace with public speculation. Some days it will be truthful, some days not truthful." Vicky Kaushal was also associated with Bhumi Pednekar and Beyond the Clouds star, Malavika Mohanan. The latest speculation to join the bandwagon is that Katrina Kaif is the reason for his split with Harleen Sethi. It was also rumoured that Katrina and Vicky have been spotted together quite often. The allegedly linked actors are also rumoured to be doing a film together.
During an award show, Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif were together on-stage to present the award when Vicky, who had confessed that he has a huge crush on Katrina, had grabbed the opportunity and had said, "Why don't you find a nice boy like Vicky Kaushal and get married to him?" He had further explained, "The season of weddings is on, so I thought, you too would want to do the same and so I thought I ought to ask you." Katrina, who had pretended that she didn't get his point, had asked him, "What?" To which, Vicky had probed, "Mujhse Shaadi Karogi?" with the song playing in the background. Katrina couldn't help but had blushingly replied, "Himmat nahi hai (I don't have the courage)."
In a 2018 interview with The Times of India, Vicky Kaushal had talked about love and had shared, “Love hasn’t changed and it never will, no matter what kind of a society we become. You will still feel the butterflies in your stomach when you meet that special person for the first time, when you feel differently for that one person in the room, when you can’t take your eyes and thoughts off him/her. It doesn’t matter how new or old school you are. However, with time and exposure, the social fabric changes.
