Bollywood actors, Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan were the most talked about rumoured couple in the B-town. Though the lovebirds had never made their relationship official, their magical chemistry was enough for the Bollywood buffs to know that romance was brewing. However, due to a turn of events, gossip about their breakup stories had started to do rounds on the internet, and the two have even unfollowed each other on Instagram. It was the Padmaavat actor, Ranveer Singh, who had played a cupid between the two. Even Kartik was left speechless at an awards function when he got to know about Sara’s attraction toward him. They had fallen in love on the sets of their first film together, Love Aaj Kal. In a recent interview with India Today, Karan Johar lauded the couch of Koffee With Karan for uniting many Bollywood actors in real life. From Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt to Katrina Kaif-Vicky Kaushal, the director mentioned how their love story had started while confessing their crush on the Koffee With Karan chat show. Moreover, calling the couch a couch of manifestation, Karan spilt the beans on the most asked question and revealed that Kartik and Sara were indeed dating. He said:
“I call this couch the couch of manifestation. I was like telling Kriti (Sanon) the other day, I said just say a name! Because Katrina (Kaif) on this couch said that she thought she would look good with Vicky (Kaushal), then Vicky collapsed and then the next thing we know is that they are married. Sara (Ali Khan) mentioned Kartik (Aaryan) and they started dating. Alia (Bhatt) has mentioned Ranbir (Kapoor) season after season and she is married to him today and is going to have his beautiful baby. So it’s fantastic that this couch has actually manifested so many relationships.”
At Pinkvilla’s event, Style Icon, the ever so gorgeous actress, Sara Ali Khan and her alleged ex-boyfriend, Kartik Aaryan had graced the show. The ex-couple posed with each other after two years of breakup. While Sara made heads turn in a sultry thigh-high slit black gown, Kartik looked dapper in a black suit and tie. As the duo met each other on the red carpet, the paparazzi started to cheer for them and requested them to pose for the camera. Though the actors elegantly posed for the camera, it seemed like they felt awkward with each other.

On May 20, 2022, Kartik Aaryan was out on a promotional spree for his film, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. During a media interaction, Kartik was asked whether linkup rumours with actresses were a part of the promotional stunt for movies to make them successful. To which, the actor hinted at his relationship with Saif Ali Khan’s daughter, Sara Ali Khan and had said:
"No, no. There was nothing promotional there. How do I explain this? No dear, I mean, we are humans as well. Not everything is promotional. This is all that I will say on this topic."
