Punjabi weddings are just like a never-ending big Bollywood film filled with rituals and traditions. They can dance all through the night on the beats of dhol, and can drink till the morning. Plus, the fun doubles up, if you are part of the mundewalas (boy's side of the family), as they know how to welcome the new bride home. And on February 3, 2020, the same amount of excitement was seen in the Kapoor and Jain family, who came to bless the newly-married couple, Armaan Jain and Anissa Malhotra. For those who don't know, Armaan Jain is the cousin of Kareena Kapoor Khan and Karisma Kapoor. The sibling trio shares a beautiful bond with each other and judging by the pictures trending on the internet, it looks like the Kapoor sisters were anxiously waiting for their bhai's baraat. A candid picture from #ArmaanKiShaadi was shared by Karisma, wherein she was seen dancing with her sister, Kareena and the groom, Armaan in a vintage car. She had captioned it as "Baraat Mode". She had also shared a Boomerang, and had written, "Armaan ki Baraat". Take a look at the picture and video below:
Armaan and Anissa's wedding definitely made us call our brothers and ask them to tie the knot soon! While we were mesmerised by #ArmaanKiShaadi, it was his nephew, Taimur Ali Khan, who had won our hearts with his cuteness. We were hooked to our Instagram feeds to get a glimpse of the little munchkin, who was equally excited for his mama's wedding. On February 4, 2020, Karisma posted a family picture from the wedding festivities. In the picture, we can see her posing with her father, Randhir Kapoor, sister, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Taimur Ali Khan, who was sitting on his father, Saif Ali Khan's lap and looked adorable. Alongside it, she wrote, "Armaan ki Baraat". Take a look at it below:
For the wedding, Taimur had donned a Raghavendra Rathore ensemble which consists of a royal blue kurta paired with a white pyjama. On the other hand, Kareena had opted for a yellow saree with a golden blouse and had accessorised her look with statement earrings. Her look was completed with heavy kohl-filled eyes, highlighted cheeks and hair tied in a bun. Coming back to Armaan and Anissa's love story, in an interview with the HELLO! magazine, Anissa had shared that they have never broken up once. She had said, "From the day we met, we never thought of dating anyone else. There were some small fights, and we used to get pissed at each other, but we have never broken up till date – not even for a day or a week. And that’s very important in a long-term relationship."
On July 31, 2019, Armaan had shared the pictures of the big proposal on his Instagram handle. Alongside it, he had written, "The moment I eagerly waited for 7 years finally arrived, the most nervous moment in my life. The butterflies in my belly all seem a hype when I think of my first school exam or my first shot in front of the camera. You walked in and every sensation went numb. Everything I rehearsed in my mind was out in a jiffy. I finally realised what my yoga teacher said when he meant to go blank and be in the moment. As I walked you, my most beautiful @anissamalhotra down the aisle and finally onto my knees, my heart was pounding, my mouth was dry, everything was hazy and I felt an unexplainable emotion like I did when I first met you, We’ve come along way Jaan, fought all the odds (come rain come storm) like yesterday as well. Thank you for being my backbone and pillar of strength and sticking with me through thick and thin."
His post could be further read as "YOU are the woman of my dreams and I am the luckiest man! None of this was possible without our most generous parents, our most adorable cupid @aadarjain who metaphorically introduced US once again and all our extended family, i.e. our friends who were a part of yesterday and more importantly an integral part of our most beautiful journey in the last 7 years. My Armaan was to be with my Anissa forever and you said YES, I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with you. Love you."
