In an interview with the ETimes, Karishma opened up about her bond with Varun and shared that she always wanted to marry someone who was not from the industry. Sharing the reason behind the same, she stated that she did not want to come home and listen to the same shoot and set story. Karishma added:
"Initially, Varun wasn't comfortable with cameras and people following us, but he is getting used to it now. He is proud of my work. Varun is a supportive husband and comes to the set at times to see if I am doing okay. I have never thought about whether he will be okay with me doing romantic scenes because even before I was married, I have always drawn a line when it came to intimate scenes."
