It has been two days since Kareena Kapoor Khan had celebrated her 40th birthday with friends and family at her Mumbai residence but even till now, the pictures and videos just keep coming in. And no, we aren’t complaining! The Khans and Pataudis are on a celebratory roll as in the month of August, Kareena had announced her second pregnancy. The announcement was followed by the 50th birthday celebrations of Saif Ali Khan and a few days from then, the expecting mommy celebrated her 40th. Though the milestones in Saif and Kareena’s lives were significantly big, the couple had kept the celebrations to a low-key one at their home. The celebrations had begun for Kareena Kapoor Khan’s 40th bash with the arrival of her star family including Randhir Kapoor, Babita, Karisma Kapoor and Samaira Kapoor on the birthday eve. Karisma had given the glimpses of the to-be mommy, flaunting her pregnancy glow in her favourite outfit, kaftan. But what caught everyone’s attention was Bebo’s ‘Fabulous at 40’ birthday cake, which featured two tiers and a fondant miniature of Kareena on top. Sharing the pictures on her social media handle, Karisma had written, “Birthday girl. We love you #happybirthday #fabulousatanyage.”
While Kareena Kapoor Khan had ringed in her birthday with her family by her side, she had ended it with another in-house bash with her friends in attendance. Kareena had cut a ‘Super Mom’ cake with a Wonder Woman logo on it. Kareena had looked stunning in a super-comfy beige coloured printed dress which she had accentuated with a gorgeous necklace, no-makeup and of course, her pregnancy glow and beautiful smile. An unseen video has emerged of Kareena apparently from the last year celebrations, wherein she can be seen holding two sparkling candles in her hand while grooving to Don’t Stop Me Now - Queen. Kareena looked gorgeous in her black dress and she perfectly defines the caption on the video, “40 and Fabulous.”
A day before she turned 40, Kareena Kapoor Khan had written a beautiful note to herself and had posted it with her solo black-and-white picture on Instagram. Bebo had written, "As I enter my 40th year... I want to sit back, reflect, love, laugh, forgive, forget and most importantly pray and thank the strongest force up there for giving me the strength and thank my experiences and decisions for making me the woman I am... Some right, some wrong, some great, some not so... but still, hey BIG 40 make it BIG." Kareena Kapoor Khan was flooded with love and good wishes on her 40th birthday and her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Kemmu, who weren’t able to attend the celebrations, had penned heartfelt notes for her. Sharing a picture from the sets of Kareena’s radio show, What Women Want, Soha had written, “Most women walk the walk, talk the talk and shop the look but you don’t have to do anything - you just are! Strong, empowered, free and full of love. And as your family expands and life becomes more full, may you continue to balance the passions of your life with grace. You make it look easy even though I know it can’t always be! Happy birthday to you @kareenakapoorkhan.” Soha’s husband, Kunal had posted an IG story to wish Bebo on her birthday. He had written, “May you always be happy, heathy and fabulous. We love you @kareenakapoorkhan” atop it.
Kareena Kapoor Khan’s BFFs, Malaika Arora and Amrita Arora Ladak had also wished the actress on her 40th birthday. While Amrita had posted a twinning in white picture with Kareena and had captioned it as “Happy birthday our beebo, bebo, bobee... Today you’re 40 and ohhh my gosh faaaaaabulous To turning older and wiser and us stronger together... Love you tons @kareenakapoorkhan #gutsssssssssss #fabat40”, Malaika had shared a picture, wherein she can be seen showering Bebo with love and kisses, and had captioned it, “Beboliciousss it’s a bigggggggish. fabulous at any age #fab40bebo love u.”
Kareena Kapoor Khan had worn a super-comfy minty green kaftan by Anita Dongre for her 40th birthday celebrations. The kaftan was designed with radiant red flowers and a printed forest-green hemline. It had balloon sleeves, Henley neckline with tasselled front and the breezy fabric had made it a perfect choice for the expecting mommy. Kareena had ditched the makeup and accessories for her OOTN and had kept her look simple and stylish. Kareena’s birthday dress costs Rs 19,900 as per the designer’s official website.
